JUNK!! Unless you use it properly!
(AMENDED REVIEW)These are a great idea.... If they worked! (IF YOU USE THEM PROPERLY YOU WILL NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM THEY ARE DESIGNED FOR CANYONERING NOT TOP ROPING) I don't ever write such negative reviews but these have me worked up. After setting up a top rope to do some climbing with a couple friends I used one of the protectors on a portion of the rope that was contacting the cliff face. Set up went perfect and I thought these things were going to be great. After tearing down the top rope after 3 climbs I inspected the rope protector to find that the rope had burned right through it in several spots.... ***RopePros costumer service is AWESOME! After my first bad experience with these RopePro Extermes, RopePro is sending me the RopePro Infernos which are designed specifically with top roping and the friction from the rope in mind. I am looking forward to trying them out and have high hopes they will hold up against some abuse at the crag.
