Factory X is proud to present the most anticipated 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' prop replica ever made! The Slayer’s Scythe was made using Joss Whedon’s personal souvenir prop scythe as reference. It is 37-inches long and 11 pounds. The blade is cast zinc with a blood-red coating, and the ostrich skin style handle wrap and the wooden stake, are all accurate to the prop. The Slayer’s Scythe comes with a display plaque. Buffy looks on in awe at the blade imbedded in the rock and, to her surprise, she is able to pull the weapon forth. As beautiful as it is deadly, the weapon poses a number of questions for Giles and Willow, who can find no mention of it’s origins and only know that it instills Buffy with a sense of great power. Only later, in a torch-lit tomb, does Buffy learn from a mysterious old woman that what she pulled form the stone is "A weapon... a scythe. Forged in secrecy for one” … to defeat the last pure demon who walked the earth. The old Guardian continues saying, "One way or another, it can only mean an end, is truly near..."

Faux arrivée chez moi au jour dit, bien emballée et en parfait état. Elle est d'une facture splendide, plus spectaculaire que je ne me l'imaginais. Je suis enchanté. Bravo! Elle n'est effectivement pas à mettre dans les mains d'enfants. C'est du vrai bois, du vrai métal, splendide, mais d'une lourdeur dangereuse pour des mains inexpertes. A accrocher au mur, et ne pas essayer de faire le malin en jouant avec!

Factory X POS Slayer Scythe- They never watched a single episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The Slayer Scythe as made by Factory X is a complete piece of garbage.The main blade is made from Zinc which means if you drop it it will dent and very likely crumble.The FAKE leather wrap of the handle is actually Vinyl which has had a picture of Ostrich Leather applied to it.The main handle doesn't even run the full length of the grip so if it get's swung around, which is likely, it will very likely break.Over-all, the size is WRONG as Factory X has/had a policy of making ALL their weapon props 10% smaller than the screen used originals and it can be clearly seen in many of their other weapon replicas such as Jack Sparrows Sword, The Sword of the Headless Horseman and the swords of Buffy and Angelus (The last two are COMPLETE Fantasy designs that look NOTHING like the screen-used Swords.)This thing was farmed out to China to be made cheaper than the cheapest piece of junk out there.With a little bit of effort you can find a better made scythe that is fan-enthusiast made!DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON Factory X ANYTHING!

A Disappointment
This thing is a joke. A poorly made cheap bulky toy at best. Don't waste your money. I own many Buffy collectibles including Faith's Jackal and the Sword of Angelus. They are good weapons as well as prized collectibles. The only thing the Slayers Scythe would accomplish is making your attacker die of laughter. Thank GOD I didn't pay the $900 to $1000 being asked on eBay. Again...Don't waste your money!

amazing!!! exactly what i want, but paint messed up in some places, and cracked stake, at the end... other than that amazing product..
