These 10mm beads are well made, although the coloring is very rich and very much unlike most sandalwood. However they beads have no fragrance of any kind, even after holding in the hand for a few minutes.Sandalwood has a pronounced perfume, which is its main attraction. Without the fragrance, it is just a nother wood without significant attribute.In contrast, the 8mm beads by the same seller (in a much duller color that's more typical of sandalwood) have the classic sandalwood fragrance.If the seller deliberately treated the 10mm beads to remove or mask their fragrance, or selected wood with minimal fragrance, it should state that, since I am pretty sure I am not the only one choosing sandalwood for its smell rather than its looks.

These are thuja wood, which has a soft, pleasant sandalwood scent. They are sanded nicely and unwaxed. I’m using them to make essential oil bracelets with lava beads, gemstone beads and these sandalwood beads. I get a very tiny drop of oil on my fingertips and massage it over the whole bracelet. Since these beads are unwaxed, the oil absorbs and dries quickly. This company’s strand arrives on a stretchy mala-type cord.

I’m not one to write poor reviews but these are the worst beads I’ve ever purchased. The hole workmanship is messy some beads have multiple sides of holes to include holes that are too large to even really use properly. I make mala necklaces and use sandalwood beads often, I purchased these in hopes they would suffice and was sorely disappointed. Please don’t purchase if you are actually putting something nice together.

These sandalwood beads smell good and came in two sets already strung together. Initially I thought it was loose beads that I had to put together. Decent quality and great gift for friends and family. Wish it would come in larger size beads , the 8mm still seems small but the fragrance are long lasting and great for aromatherapy.

Absolutely love these beads. So pretty. Packaged securely on a coated elastic string and placed in a zip bag.The natural sandalwood have the distinct natural scent. Great quality and nice simple and safe packaging.

The pictures do not show how beautiful these beads really are. Plus they are on a stretchy band and already create a necklace and there are two different strands. I used one strand for bracelets, and restrung the other strand as a necklace with other beads on it. Beautiful.

I was expecting the beads to have a scent, but they don't except for maybe a faint scent when I sniff them closely.I was also expecting loose beads, and having them pre-strung was a nice surprise.

First off, thank you to the vender. I received a notice saying I received the beads today. I ended up finding 2 lovely Mala prayer beads necklaces. I was going to use the loose beads to make Catholic Rosaries. I dont know if it would be disrespectful to cut one of them to do what I initially wanted to do. Thus the reason why I tried ordering loose beads. :( im a very superstitious person and do my best to respect all religions.

Pretty beads, but these are just plain rosewood beads. They're NOT sandalwood and they do NOT have a scent, which was what I had actually bought them for.....

These beads are lovely. They're not as red as shown in the picture, but honestly they're so beautiful, it doesn't matter! They come on 2 pieces of elastic, not just thrown in a bag and you even get 12 small beads free! Theyre actually around 220 beads (not including the small ones) so you're getting more. Worth more than I paid for them!

Ich war von der Qualität und Verarbeitung der Perlen extrem positiv überrascht. Außerdem wurden sie nicht einfach lose oder auf Schnüren geliefert sondern waren zu zwei Mala Ketten à 108 Perlen plus einer Abschlussperle sehr schön auf einem elastischen Gummiband (Hutgummi) aufgezogen, welches an den beiden Enden, nach der Abschlussperle (3-löchrig) sogar mit einem hübschen Knoten in Form einer Blüte versehen wurde. Also erhält man deutlich mehr, als in der Produktbeschreibung angegeben wird. Das gibt es auch nicht oft! Vielen herzlichen Dank für die sorgsame "Aufbereitung".Das einzige, was mich persönlich stört, aber ich bin damit auch extrem empfindlich, ist der starke Geruch und die leicht klebrige Oberfläche der Perlen. Ich hatte gehofft, dass sie wirklich unbehandelt sind. Vielleicht sind sie es ja auch, aber mir kommt es so vor, als wäre irgend eine Art Öl verwendet worden, da Holz normalerweise, wie ich es kenne, ganz glatt ist, ohne sich feucht oder klebrig anzufühlen. Klebrig ist hier etwas übertrieben aber wer frisch geöltes Holz kennt, bei dem das Öl nicht ganz eingezogen ist, weiß, was ich meine. Nach einiger Zeit wird der Ölüberschuss auf dem Holz fühlbar und egal, was man macht, man bekommt ihn schlecht ab. Ich habe die Perlen mehrmals mit einem Pflegetuch abgerieben aber bisher geruchstechnisch sowohl sensorisch ohne Erfolg. Der Geruch ist möglicherweise auch für andere Allergiker, wie mich, die sehr geruchsempfindlich sind, störend. Ich kann die Ketten jedenfalls nicht um den Hals tragen. Trotzdem kann ich die Perlen und die schöne Aufmachung, in der sie kommen wärmstens weiter empfehlen, denn wer nicht geruchsempfindlich ist und keinen großen Wert darauf legt dass etwas biologisch oder anderweitig unschädlich behandelt ist, dem machen sie bestimmt uneingeschränkt Freude. Sie stinken auch nicht, es ist kein schlechter Geruch, deshalb bin ich sicher, dass es vielen Kunden überhaupt nichts ausmachen wird oder sie es sogar gut finden und sie sehen auch wirklich sehr schön aus und sind angenehm glatt geschliffen.In der Benutzung finde ich das Gummiband angenehmer als fest aufgezogene Perlen mit Knoten zwischen jeder Perle, deshalb werde ich sie nicht neu aufziehen, wie ich es ursprünglich geplant hatte. Wer sie neu aufziehen möchte sollte beachten, dass die Löcher sehr sehr fein sind und es möglicherweise ohne eine sehr feine spezielle Perlennadel oder eine sehr feine, leicht steife Perlonschnur nicht gelingen wird.
