is this good for diarrhea sample collection?

Its a biodegradable, fushable material. In my opinion no.

is this safe to flush in a septic system?

Thank you for your question. It is same as toilet paper.

Has anyone used this for their kids? Did it work for them?

I used it for my son. I had to collect a stool sample but you must be present. Not trying to be graphic but a heavy sample can weigh down the sheet. So you want to be able to collect it right away.
