Astronaut Helmet for Kids with Movable Visor Pretend Role Play Accessory Toy Set Halloween Costumes

Great quality!!! Slightly diffulcult to snap together but just required a little patience. Very solid helmet and feels like you get your moneys worth. The size is slightly large once you slide the helmet on so those with smaller heads might need to glue some cheap padding if needed but will be easy to slide on if you have a larger head so that’s a plus. Weight is slightly heavier than expected but again it’s because the quality of the parts match the weight. For this price I don’t think you could do better.

This helmet comes into separate parts which you have to put them together, the instructions come included. It was hard to put some pieces together though it took two people to finally snap pieces into place. Once set up, it takes some strength to move the visor up and down, meaning it could be difficult for a child to open it or close it. I bought for myself though I’m a 32 yo female with a relatively big head. It fits me no problem. It’s not a perfect fit my chin touches the lower part of the helmet but if you keep it open it works. Sturdy product I don’t not regret buying it.

I don't know why more "reasonably good looking" space helmets aren't available. It's a costume that never goes out of style - for kids AND adults! Most you find are a joke. This helmet is one of the best I have found, especially for the price. I bought it for $20. This helmet is obviously intended for kids but adults can wear it too. It's a tight fit but looks pretty good. There are multiple foam pieces on the inside that make it pretty comfortable. Some assembly is required. (Strong hint: Put the two halves together BEFORE attaching the visor. It is MUCH easier that way.) The instructions say it can be disassembled but I was not able to. The plastic seems to be vinyl (though there is no recycle symbol on or in it). The helmet material is around 1/10th of an inch thick and each part is injection-molded, not vacuum-formed like most others. I have a Star Wars storm trooper helmet of the same material and quality. This helmet will NOT fall apart on you. The visor opens with some effort but it stays open. There are small air vents where your chin goes. I guess they make talking with the visor closed a lot more understandable. I'm also sure the visor will fog up without some kind of fan setup, even with the vents. (Something to put in the backpack? Sounds like a fun project!) This will make a great costume piece and a fun display the rest of the time. I am very happy with it.

When you go to open the visor it falls down. Overall, the helmet was tough to connect, the plastic clips are a bit tight, but doable. If the company sends the fasteners I will give 5 stars. This was supposed to be a Christmas present for my five-year-old autistic son. The kid knows more about galaxies, dwarf planets, and orbital mechanics than I do (and I’ve been on this planet a while). Unfortunately, Amazon decided stealth wasn’t part of NASA protocol and shipped it in the actual product box. No outer packaging. Zero chance of a covert operation. To make things worse (or better, depending on your sense of humor), the package landed the exact morning of our neighborhood “Breakfast with Santa.” So naturally, my son already suited up for the event, decided this new helmet was coming with him. Were there stares from neighbors? Absolutely. Did other kids look jealous of my child’s “drip”? Of course. Did Santa have questions? You bet. Did my kid look like he was ready to command the next SpaceX launch? 100%. Now, the product itself: it’s awesome. The size is perfect, even for a big kid’s head, and the clear visor actually works and stays up. Solid build, looks legit, and instantly transforms any kid into a full-blown astronaut in training. So yes, this was the Christmas gift that launched a few weeks early… but honestly, seeing him light up when he put it on? Totally worth the mission failure. 🚀

We were a little disappointed. The helmet wasn't put together properly and it never lined up. Had no way to fix it

Pros: Was sterdier than I expected. Originally thought the helmet would be flimsy. Though the face hole plastic does feel like it can be easily broken, but that's to be expected simce that area is thiner Didn't think there would be padding on the inside, but was pleasantly surprised to find padded foam in key areas of the head that needed it. Though I'm glad it's not overly filled with foam since it can get extremely sweaty Cons: difficult to assemble. Took one adult and two teens to somehow jam the peices together If you're an adult looking for a cosplay helmet this might not fit you. I'm 5'2 and could fit my head in just fine without my glasses. Though I recommend going in with the sheild already placed up. Again for adult mainly. You may get hot wearing it for long periods and have a slight hard time breathing due to the heat produced from your breathing. For a child this shouldn't be a problem though since it fits younger kids quite lose. The sheild can get a little jammed when trying to push it up. Had a few scares where I thought I was close to breaking it. Someone already mentioned this in another review and posted a picture, but there is a slight gap between the two peices of the helmet. Though i doesn't feel that noticeable for me at least.

Oh, where to begin with this masterpiece of disappointment? Putting this helmet together felt less like assembling a toy and more like solving an advanced-level escape room puzzle—except the prize at the end is frustration. The clips don’t align, don’t want to align, and frankly seem personally offended that you’re even trying. I’m fairly certain they were designed by someone who has never actually seen a helmet before. And let’s talk about that “brand new” condition. The visor came pre-smudged, which is great if you enjoy the aesthetic of “previous child’s fingerprints included at no extra charge.” Nothing says quality like opening a package and immediately wondering who else has already taken it for a spin. All in all, if you’re looking for a bonding experience filled with confusion, mild rage, and a hint of mystery ownership—this is the helmet for you. If you actually want something that works… maybe keep looking.

As stated its a little big, but thats for my 4 year old! My only criticism is that a internal strap would make it more customizable and secure for size. The material is thick and durable without being heavy. The visor moves easily while staying in the position you put it in. Im able to fit it on but I would say it is great for all kids and adults with a small/medium head
