Charge retained as long as I needed
So far I am happy with the amount of charge the battery seems to have kept. I purchased this for a new video camera that I purchased to cover a wedding of a friend. It held the charge as long as I anticipated.

Great OEM Alternative
I picked up this BATMAX battery after scoring a clearance Panasonic camera that didn’t include a battery. This one delivers 3900mAh, which is comparable to the origina, but at a fraction of the cost (just $26 vs. ~$80 for OEM).It works seamlessly with the camera, and the software recognizes it just like the OEM battery, including showing remaining recording time. Unless performance drops off unexpectedly, I’ll be keeping this one at five stars. Great value and functionality.

Worked just fine
This worked just fine with my HC-VX981 Panasonic camcorder. Battery indicator works and indicates a little over three hours battery on a full charge. Don't expect to use all that though. I think it's good for maybe 2.5 hours, then after that your on borrowed time. That's just the way things work, it's not the fault of the battery. For the price, I think it is a good deal.

Twice the battery life of the stock battery that comes with your camera.
I wish I had bought this a long time ago. I video my son’s soccer games. The standard battery that comes with the camera holds about two hours of charge minus use of the zoom. This one holds 4 1/2 hours easy. It’s twice as “long” so it sticks further out from the back of the camera but that isn’t really a problem at all. I highly recommend it if you need more power or just don’t like having to constantly charge the standard Panasonic battery.
