I still don’t have an oven 😂
My wall oven died in 2023 and we weren’t going to spend the money to fix it. I needed something to cook with until we figured out what we were doing with the kitchen. Well, it’s 3 years later and I still don’t have an oven. 😂 I first bought the 4 quart and knew right away it was too small. I wanted to be able to cook more than one thing at a time. I returned it and got this 6 quart. Perfect. I use this thing every single day. I make meatloaf in it. Egg muffin bites. English muffins every morning. Pretty much anything I would have put in my oven goes in here now. I bought a small baking pan and muffin pan that fit inside too. Cleanup is really easy. I usually use liners, foil or a silicone liner and toss the disposable stuff when I’m done. It’s also so much faster than heating up a whole oven. That’s especially nice in the summer because our old house doesn’t have AC and the last thing I need is an oven heating up the kitchen. I’ve had it almost 3 years now and haven’t had a problem with it. It’s easy to use and the 6 quart is a great size for the two of us. I use it every single day and it was worth every penny. At this point I’m not even sure I need another oven.

Definately worth it!
I'm single, so five years ago I grabbed the Instant Vortex 2-quart during a Prime Day sale. That little thing has been an absolute workhorse. I've made toast, salmon, baked potatoes, roasted vegetables, chicken...you name it. It still works great. The only downside? You can only cook one thing at a time. Now that the dog days of summer are here, I keep hearing my mom's voice in my head saying, "Don't heat up the kitchen!" I used to laugh...now I completely understand. Running the oven turns my kitchen and living room into a sauna, and then the air conditioner has to work overtime just to cool the house back down. So I decided it was time to retire my oven until September and upgrade to the 6-quart Vortex Plus. What a difference! The larger basket means I can finally cook a salmon fillet and asparagus at the same time instead of playing musical chairs with dinner. It's just as easy to use as my old one since the controls are very similar, and it's surprisingly quiet. I honestly thought the viewing window was a gimmick, but I was wrong. It's incredibly handy. Being able to peek in without pulling the basket out and letting all the heat escape is something I didn't realize I'd appreciate so much. If you're cooking for one or two people and wondering if it's worth upgrading from a smaller air fryer, I'd say yes. My little 2-quart is headed to my office to keep making lunches, and this 6-quart has officially taken over dinner duty at home. No regrets. My oven is about to enjoy a nice long summer vacation.

Why didnt I buy one of these things sooner??
I have had this for about ten days now and made five items. I dont usually leave reviews but thought I would for this air fryer. Its pretty great as far as I am concerned. Pro and Cons. Let me start with the cons. CONS 1. Complaints about plastic smell. Not really a con for me but I see others complaining so I will mention it. I had no problem. I ran the machine through several air fry cycles (400 degrees for 15 minutes) before I cooked any food and noticed the oft complained about plastic smell the first time. It then decreased each time I ran it through another cycle until I could barely notice it. Some reviews say to remove the silicon food grade tabs on the grate insert but note that the grate will then easily fall out when you try to empty the pan by tipping it over. It might eventually fall out with the tabs in place but I used a tongs to prevent the grate from falling out any time I tipped the pan over to empty it. 2. My big complaint is the instructions. They are sparse. It took me awhile to realize I can pull out the pan anytime I want to flip my food and the machine will simply start where it left off when the pan is replaced. If you already flipped your food you can just leave the machine be for the ten seconds it tells you to flip your food and resumes air frying. My learning consisted of trial and error (still doing that learning cook times and when to flip the food) and looking at air fryer demonstration videos and recipes online. The intstant website appears to have no recipes for the air fryer and the recipe page only has recipes for their insta pot. PROS The food!! From left to right I first did french fries then chicken thighs, steak, fish and grilled ham and cheese. FRENCH FRIES - Came out crispy and delicious. The picture is actually my second batch. The first batch went in, then I realized the machine was preheating. I just left the fries in. The machine then went to its 15 minute standard time at 400 degrees. The fries were OK but some were overcooked probably due to going in during the preheat cycle. The second batch went in after the machine preheated and used 12 minutes (after I learned how to adjust the time). This batch was much much improved. I used store bought frozen fries which seem to work really well. For fresh potatoes I learned I had to soak the fries first in water to get rid of some of the starch and dry them with paper towels otherwise the fries didnt turn out as crispy as the store bought frozen fries. My only slight complaint is the cooking grate would eventually fall out when I tipped the pan over to empty the fries onto a plate. I learned to hold the grate with tongs to keep it from falling out. Chicken - I love fried chicken so this was the real test. I made four bone in thighs. Two were egg wash and then panko bread crumbs (on the left of the picture) and two (on the right of the picture) were eggwash and seasoned flour. All four thighs were sprayed with cooking oil (PAM). I learned this is a must to get a good fry. As you can see some of the panko came off during the cook from the fan. The panko also tended to burn. Many recipes use panko so the food gets crispy but for me it was just OK. On the other hand the chicken with the eggwash and then flour was GREAT. Crispy, juicy, as good as when I deep fry with oil. STEAK - This is my go to method of making a steak when its too cold outside to grill. It took me awhile to get the time down but the steak turned out really good. I used the broil cycle at 380 degrees. I used an instant read thermometer to get a perfect medium-medium well of 140 inside. I first had the steak on 17 minutes (flipped half way) but it the internal temp was only 120. I then did another 5 minutes. The steak was juicy and perfectly cooked for me. FISH - This was my one "Its OK" dish that I have work on. I did cod loins at 400 degrees air fry for 8 minutes (flipping half way). I used eggwash and seasoned flour with a spray of cooking oil. The coating wasnt as crispy when I deep fried with oil. Next time I will try increasing the time to see if that improves it. I didnt want to overcook the fish which it wasnt. GRILLED HAM AND CHEESE - This was the last item prepared. It was probably one of the best grilled sandwiches I have had in a long time. Crispy on the outside with hot gooey cheese and ham on the inside. My go to way to make a grilled cheese from now on. I buttered the outside of the bread and put the machine 6 minutes on air fry at 400 flipping halfway. Like the french fries, the picture was my second sandwich. The first I had at 8 minutes and that was too long, the sandwich was overcooked. But when I got the time down it made a GREAT grilled ham and cheese. Easy to clean. I just washed the grate in warm soapy water and wiped the pan out with a paper towel after each use. So that its. I hope this helps other people looking at this machine or other air fryers. I am happy with mine so far. Its just a matter of trial and error until you learn the temps and cooking times that work for you.

A Newbie Air Fryer user
I'm an Air Fryer newbie. Got this one because it was rated the top choice by a cooking tv show. I always thought Air Fryers were a fad, but I'm loving this. The big size means I can do more than enough in it for two people. Everything I've done so far: Spring Rolls, Crescent Roll Sandwiches, and Strombolis. All came out great and very crispy. Extremely easy and quick to clean. I'd totally recommend this. I don't know how to use "Liners" with this though. And I've seen a couple of people complaining about a plastic smell, but we don't smell anything like that. Only the cooking of the food. I'm happy I tried this out.

Impressive Air Fryer
I purchased the Insta pot vortex XL 6 qt, approximately one month ago and have used it nearly every day since. First, my favorite things, are the nice size of the basket and ease of cleaning. It is much easier to clean than my own Ninja. So far it has cooked everything evenly and very well. I do not think the noise is a problem at all, and I could barely hear it. One slight annoyance is the automatic preheat function, which I don’t really care for, but I can get past it. The major complaint I have is the noxious odor that it emits when in use. At first, when I read the reviews, I thought it was just people who had purchased it complaining about any and everything, but let me tell you, the smell is a very real thing, and for some people, they’re not going to be able to get past it. I washed it, and cleaned it with vinegar and baking soda to see if it would help. It did not really help very much until after about two weeks of use. The smell really began to dissipate, but never went away, and I used it tonight and noticed that the smell is still there. It is almost a toxic chemical, plastic, metal smell that is very apparent. One friend suggested I send it back, that he would not be able to stand it, however, I decided to keep it, because I like the way it cooks. I like the way it looks, and I like the footprint on the counter much better than my old ninja. If you can get beyond the smell, something that Insta pot should really take a look at and see if they can eliminate, I would say it’s a solid purchase.

Good Air Fryer
I bought this for wife about a year ago and she loves it. It’s great for cooking and warming food up. It works quickly and does a great job on cooking and heating up items. I especially love how I can warm up tater tots in 10 mins and don't have to turn on the oven and wait for it to reach the right temp. This Air fryer heats up quickly, cooks evenly and is easy to clean. It is well made and after almost a year of constant use is still working perfectly.

The Appliance That Made Me a Midnight Chef!
I absolutely love my Instant Pot air fryer to the point that I now find myself blindly making food for the sheer thrill of it, even when I haven't been hungry since three days ago! It is dangerously convenient, super easy to use, and practically runs itself. Don't believe me? My twelve-year-old stepson—who still treats making his bed like a complex architectural puzzle requiring an engineering degree—mastered this thing in seconds. Now he's casually air-frying snacks like a culinary prodigy, even if his bedroom still looks like a pillow tornado hit it. If you want an appliance so foolproof it can bridge the gap between teenage laziness and gourmet snack production, this is the holy grail. 10/10, goodbye waistline, hello crispy perfection!

Great airfryer
I had to return my first one but now that I have one that works properly I couldnt be happier with it. The airforce works great but cooks alot faster than my old one so you have to play eith the cooking time. Now the bake function is amazing. I can cook biscuits in 7 minutes compared to 20 in a oven. You definitely have to watch it as it cooks so much faster than you would think. Very easy to burn up things if your not careful as I've learned. I love it. Easy to clean and so much better than heating up your kitchen with the oven. If you're looking for a multifunction air fryer then this is it.

Works perfectly
It doesn’t smell like burning plastic like I’ve read and heard that other brands can. It’s my first air fryer and I’ve had zero issues. Love the way it cooks French fries. Cleans like a dream. Made homemade buns and they were perfect and faster than my toaster oven. Not noisy. Fits on my counter under my upper cabinets even though it’s a large unit. Finger prints on the digital display can be wiped of with a non abrasive cloth and non abrasive cleaner if needed I can tell that it could be easily permanently marked up if you use anything other than a soft cloth and the buttons you use the most can get a somewhat permanent print on them so I’d recommend wiping the area after each use. Very attractive putter material. Would recommend.

EXCELLENT
Been using the Instant Pot Air Fryer for a while now, and honestly, I’m pretty impressed with it. The food comes out really crispy with very little oil, and it’s super convenient for everyday cooking. Fries, chicken, nuggets, vegetables, and even reheating snacks come out really well. I also like that it’s much quicker and easier to clean than using a traditional oven. The build quality feels good, the controls are simple, and it has become one of those appliances I end up using almost every day. Overall: 9/10. Definitely worth considering if you want an easy, healthier way to make crispy food at home.

Wish I'd bought one sooner!
I was always sceptical about air-fryers, I don't know why - maybe because they got so much hype? But we finally figured we'd get one to try and see what all the fuss was about. This one got good reviews and it was a lower price (for the capacity) than many others, plus I liked the design and the window to see the food. Wow. This thing is AWESOME!!! It looks like you'd imagine an air-fryer would look if Apple made one (and you know it would be called the 'iFry'). Very modern, very slick, super easy to use interface. I haven't used one without the window but find it really useful to see the food while it's cooking without having to open it so I'm glad we got this model, plus it's a very trusted brand. From reviews I'd seen you can't just go off the "quart" capacity - it's all about surface area with air-fryers so you want plenty of space so the food isn't crowded, which is what makes this one so good (vs others that may be the same or higher capacity, but by having more depth which isn't as good). So far we'd made Chicken Wings, both plain and breaded, and the breaded ones tasted as good or better than the best Fast Food Chicken you've ever had (KFC, Popeyes etc...). We've also made Burssel's Sprouts with Bacon and mmmmn, so delicious. Lots of more things to try making, but so far everything has worked out beautifully and cleanup has been a breeze. So definitely recommended.
