Quality, not bulky and slimmer than the regulars
Feels substantial, I like that it is narrow and also fit in a poutch or pocket without being bulky. Im used to the cheap wood handled ones, they do the job but this one is a keeper. Would be great for boat building to. I may change out the knurled knobe for a lower profile. The edges are a little sharp. I usually take them down just a bit with a 600 grit dimond file, wich I do with most my fine calibration tools as many aren't polished out. The price is a little up there when there are so many cheap ones out there but this one looks more usable and all stainless so no wories it will be ready 10 years from now.

Lot's of advantages, but one important issue: the knob
The main advantages are 1) being able to capture a narrow angle in a tight space with the small arms and pivot, 2) the steel construction fits well with steel protractors for precise angle measurements, 3) the slim size takes up very little space in a tool box/bag/belt, 4) the thin arm folds away completely inside the outer arm with nothing protruding to get bent, 5) it has a machined straight edge that is just as straight as my machinist rule, and 6) when placed on a flat surface with an angle locked in, the bottom arm lies flush with the surface and the vertical height of the other arm is only 3.5 mm, so it makes it easy to snug a protractor up to it or to trace the angle with a mechanical pencil or a marking tool. The main negative is that you have to twist the knob quite hard to lock it in place or else the arm will move without much force. This is the reason for only 4 stars. Other reviews did not like the small notch to push out the inner arm, but I think it's fine. Some didn't like the sharp edges, but mine we're OK and could be easily softened with a kitchen whetstone.

Simple no non sense design
It doesn’t get any simpler than this. It just works. Not sure what the criticisms of the brass tightening knob are about but if you can put a cap on a tube of toothpaste you can tighten this up enough to use and it won’t slip. I love the slim design/profile.

Perfect size and great price
I absolutely love this tool, I use it way more often than even expected. The tightening mechanism is awesome, and holds true to the angle from one point to the other.

Beautifully made, sturdy, precise
As it should be.

Made in China
Not Japanese like my other Shinwa tools. Need to tighten it far too much for adequate hold. Finish is nice enough, but that means nothing if it doesn't function nicely.

Difficult to open
The T-bevel seems well-made and locks securely. The only issue is its tiny (less than 1/4 inch) finger cut-out that makes it very difficult to open. You need to push the blade out through the tiny cut-out to extend the blade.

Publicidad Engañosa
Excelente producto, solido y robusto, lo único que no esta bien es que vendan productos con la leyenda Made in Japón cuando esta echo en China, deberían ser claros en eso, de ahí en mas todo bien, lo conservare
