Works well to enjoy having the garage door open while keeping the bugs out
Installation was quick (about 10 minutes including prep time) and it works like a charm. On some rare occasions, a fly has followed me into the garage, but I think clinging on the screen messes with their senses, because I am able to swat them very easily. The instructions say not to use it on a metal garage door, but I think most are metal. Occasionally it clings to the door when I open it, but slides right off without any issues. The instructions also say it should be a couple centimeters above ground for it to easily close all the way. Mine actually slightly drags on the ground with absolutely no issues. In fact, I prefer that because it will prevent any crawlers to come in. The only warning I will point out is that it requires an extra couple of minutes to roll it up each time you're driving anything in and out of the garage (car, motorcycle, riding mower, etc.). For that reason, I wish the bottom seam was a little stiffer, because you have to find a pattern to roll it up evenly. I have an extendable broom stick that I use to roll the each side then I pull it out. Luckily I don't park my car in the garage, otherwise, I can't imagine doing it once or multiple times a day. Overall, I am very pleased with it

So far, So good.
Delivered today, 1 day late but who cares. This is the 2nd set ive ordered. I got one for our small back garage door a month or so ago (from another Amazon vendor) just to make sure they weren't complete junk. We have been pleasantly surprised by the quality & functionality. They work about 95% of the time. But, to be fare, not much in this type of screen is going to hold up during extreme winds. So no complaints honestly. We got the 10X9 for our 2 big garage doors this go round from this vendor & they fit like a glove! Here's the most important thing i can say as far as installation.... Do NOT hang them super taught. They absolutely will NOT stay shut. They need a lil slack. So remember that when youre installing the velcro that adheres to the wall. I know everybody wants to see these sleek no creases, no ripples perfectly flat looking screens like our window screens. But thats not going to work with these. Just give them a lil wiggle room. Then theyll close up in the middle as designed. I installed these by myself with a 6ft ladder. It was not difficult at all. Take a quick scan of the instructions & get going. For my doors.... I measured up a lil over 3inches above the door frame..... That made the screens just barely touch the garage floor. You don't want them rubbing or sitting on the floor. Just a smidgen above. Most i.poryantly use the lil black rubbing tool they send to push the velcro to the wall. I went to pull a bit if velcro back off to djust it a lil & it peeled sliver of treated 2X & paint off with it. Its fare to say the adhesive it a 10 out of 10. Take your time Give them a lil slack Don't expect $3000 professionally installed garage door screens! These are $85 & as far as im concerned worth evey penny when our yard is full if mosquitoes the size if humming birds. Lol Ill give it a few weeks & a couple of windy days & adjust my review if needed.

No More Flies - What Took Me So Long
I purchased this screen to use on my garage which has been converted into a gym. The last few years the flies have been brutal. Especially in August and September when my Walnut trees drop their fruit and it starts to rot on the ground. Fly traps helped, but they filled up in just a few days and stank real bad so not the best solution. I had thought about making some screened panels this year and was looking for the screen and came across this item, and others, designed specifically for garage doors. Who would have thunk it. My garage is now a fly free zone and I could not be more pleased with this product. It took me about a half hour to install and that was including adding an additional strip of 1x3 wood at the top. After reading some of the other reviews regarding the installation I decided to add the additional wood to make it easier to create a high point where the panels meet to ensure is closes with minimal assist - which it does. Plus the existing wood had worn a bit over the years and did not make a good matting surface for the Velcro tape to stick. Like others I chose to install the tape to the wood frame before attaching the screen to it since it just seemed to make more sense. I also added a few staples here and there to make sure the Velcro will stay put. In my application it will only come down once a year in the winter months when flies are not an issue, but I still felt it best to secure it with some staples and recommend doing that if you plan to install this screen and remove it on occasion. Although I will admit the Velcro is very sticky and comes with a small tool to press it in place too. I would still recommend some staples though. It ended up fitting almost perfectly. It was about and inch too wide which was easy to compensate for and about two inches to tall, but that seems to work out well. It allowed me to use a brick on each end to hold it down and prevent it from pulling at the sides when being opened. On that note you just push through it to open and it pretty much closes behind you. If not you just need to give it a little push and it closes like a zipper. I was really impressed with how easily it does open and close. The magnets appear plenty strong holding it securely even when it's windy, and leaves no open gaps for bugs to enter. Yes it does tend to cling to the door but only a little since it's just the metal framing inside the door that attracts the magnets - not the door itself, which in my case is aluminum. I don't use a garage door opener so can't speak to how it would handle being opened remotely. The fiberglass screening material itself appears very durable while remaining flexible. I opted to go with this model, which was priced a little higher than others, based on the review comments regarding the durability of the screen fabric as well as the trim fabric that houses the magnets on the edge and weights at the bottom. It does drag on the cement a little so over time it might wear in spots, but nothing a little black duct tape won't be able to handle. Obviously air circulation is a concern in a gym and it does not seem to hamper that much at all. One added benefit is it makes it a little harder to see into the garage from the outside which I like and it even provides some level of shading which is good as my door faces West so it can tend to get pretty warm late in the day. Overall I am very pleased with this product. I wish I had thought about this years ago. It is so nice to be able to use the garage without flies or mosquitoes or any flying critters for that matter. I even use it at night to meditate in peace and quiet. I cannot recommend this product enough. Stop thinking about it and make the move. Hands down.....some the best money I've spent this year. Update - April 23, 2023 I thought I would provide and update since I have used the screen for two years now. Unfortunately I am here to purchase another one since the original one is worn pretty bad and a bit dry rotted. I am still happy with the purchase and feel even though it lasted only two summers, it was still a good value. My garage faces west so the screen got 8-10 hours of sun a day. Plus it got opened and closed a lot in the course of a day. To be fair I probably could have gotten another year out of it, but it was not that expensive so I prefer to have a new one. Plus the bottom was getting pretty warn. As I said it gets open and closed a lot and the weights at the bottom cause it to drag on the concrete which wears out the fabric. I was finding the weights in my driveway and did not know what they were. I ended up having to replace them with some old AA batteries and taping it shut with duct tape. I can see how someone might read this and think these issues should lower the rating, but to me it was still a good value and well worth getting another of the same model so I can just install it to the existing framing and Velcro which is still in good shape.

No bugs allowed!
Screen door is fine and works good. The issue is the directions on how to install it as they were not very clear. Fortunately, installation was almost easy to figure out, once we looked at the screen door and the space it was going in. The self adhesive velcro is very self adhesive and stuck where placed. Had to reposition a small section once and pulling it up required strength and determination. It's keeping the bugs out so it is doing what it's suppose to.

Great Quality, Easy to Install
I purchased this primarily to keep hummingbirds from getting trapped in my shop. They get confused by the white ceiling and lights and cannot find their way out. I purchased a butterfly net last year so that I could scoop them up and release them but wanted a better solution. This was it. The screen is very high quality with excellent fit and finish. My shop door is over 12 feet high and 12 feet wide but I bought the 12X8 size. I did not fasten the screen to the door frame but instead built a light frame of wood to set in the doorway. This sits just a few inches away from the door frame. This arrangement works very well to keep the hummers out as it presents a black opening that they are not interested in at all. So far I have not had one hummer even fly up to it. In this configuration it does help a bit with insects but obviously this arrangement will not keep them out since there are such large gaps on the sides but it does help. I did not buy it to keep bugs out anyway! The magnetic closure is quite handy and works well. My dogs have gotten used to the screen and readily part the screen (or just push under it) to get in and out of the shop. Great product and priced right. Very pleased with this purchase.

Excelent
Great Quality and Easy to Install! I absolutely love this garage door screen! It was very easy to install, and the magnetic closure works perfectly every time. It keeps bugs and mosquitoes out while allowing fresh air to flow through the garage. The material feels durable, and the screen fits exactly as described. It has made my garage much more comfortable to use. I highly recommend this product!

Seems sturdy and fits well
This is exactly what I was looking for to keep the bugs out of my shop while I work. It fits well, I have the 8x10, which is slightly larger to fit an 8x10 opening, so edge to edge it is about 10’3”x8’1.5”. I have a steel shop, so I built a wood frame attached to the inside of the door tracks to mount it to. I’m now able to leave the screen down but close the door over it. I live in southern Oklahoma and was concerned about it being mounted on the outside and sitting in the direct sun day after day. This worked well after some minor modifications to keep the door from rubbing the frame. The magnets work great, it separates as I walk thru and, after swinging for a few seconds, snaps closed behind me. The bottom is weighted so it hangs down and doesn't blow up with a breeze. I was careful to hang it so it is slightly off the ground, this keeps it hanging and pulled tight from the weights and not rubbing the ground and tearing up the material. The screen material appears to be coated with a thin layer of plastic reinforcement, it seems relatively sturdy, although I will be extra careful to handle it gently when rolling it up and walking thru it, to prevent tears, especially as it sits out over time. The bottom edge is not stiff and solid, which keeps it flexible to open easily, but this does make it difficult to roll up, especially since each half of mine is 5 feet wide and 8 feet tall, rolling it up to the top and then clipping the straps is a challenge, likely easier with 2 people. Also, the velcro tape that secures the screen to the door opening is not super sticky, I used a staple gun to secure it, stapling about every 4-6 inches, and it still is peeling up a bit between some of the staples, I’ll have to go back and add more. Overall I am very happy with this product so far, I’ll update if I have any issues.

Fairly good - needs some improvement
For context, I live in MN and do woodworking out of my garage so I bought this for the summer to help keep bugs etc out. Pros: -Does help keep bugs out of the garage - flies, bees/wasps, junebugs and mosquitoes were kept mostly at bay. you do have some that sneak in when entering/exiting -Pretty easy to install, hardest part was making sure the velcro that you are putting on the frame is straight. -the magnets usually do a pretty good job closing back on themselves. -Easy enough for the dog to figure out how to get in and out of the garage as well! he can push right through it. Cons: -it's a little longer than my garage so it drags on the ground in the wind a bit and the weights at the bottom are falling out due to fabric wear. -adhesive used for the velcro isn't great, I keep having to push it back on the frame of my garage as it keeps peeling away -Velcro from screen to frame needs to be better - when it gets windy or if too many people are walking in and out of the garage the sides especially tend to pull away from the frame. I do also have these with the pin in place so it pulls that out as well. -when it's super windy it will not close, I usually just have to put a clamp at the bottom of the screen and then it'll stay closed in the wind but then everyone has to walk over the clamp. Overall I'm not totally unhappy with the purchase. I believe I will need to purchase another one in the next year or so and will probably look for something that fixes some of the issues mentioned above. They aren't a total deal breaker, but does get annoying.

Works great, wish we’d bought sooner!
Love this garage door screen so much. It’s been a game changer in a rural mosquito heavy area. The garage has now become a workable space in the summer with the door open to the breeze and light. It’s a quick install and so easy to walk in and out of that the dog figured it out as fast as the toddler did. The magnets work great to keep the bugs out. Was so impressed we bought a second one for a friend who is also in love with the product. Just be careful about driving in and out as it can get caught and rip (this happened to us and we had to staple a section at the bottom to keep the weights attached). Recommend more for people who don’t use their garage to park in in summertime.
