Worth the effort
So I totally had to use this today and I am super glad I bought it. My shower has been draining really slow. It was taking like 20 minutes to drain the bathtub and draino was not helping. At first it seemed like this thing was not going to fit down my drain and I was super frustrated but I just had to wiggle it through a little bit. I was able to push it down about 8" and pull up some hair and bits of soap with the little claw. I only got a little bit of gunk at a time because the claw has to retreat back inside the housing to be able to make it outside the drain again. I also took off that little round cover that says bath tub clean out. I stuck it down it there and kinda wiggled it around a bit and grabbed a bit more gunk. I was able to get enough stuff moved though so that I could actually get the baking soda and vinegar to do the rest of the job. It was a little awkward working with it because it's way longer than it needs to be for what I needed it to do, but it was worth the effort because my bathtub drains again.

Woeks Ok
It didn’t pull anything out but did dislodge the clod so that it drained slowly. After using it I tried the plumbers’ helper again. It had not worked previously but after using the drain snake the plumbers’ helper finished opening the drain.

Works great!
Bought this to remove a chunk of non-magnetic metal that I accidentally dropped into the laundry room washer drain. It fell to the P-trap about 5 feet down. I was able to recover this and avoid cutting out the glued P-trap pipes in the crawl space.

It worked.
I had someone fix the drain. He went through the basement. His remark was that he thought it was too short. He was amazed at how efficiently it did the job.

Unclog drains
I have not used this yet but it looks and feels very sturdy and i am hoping that this will unclog my drain.

Did not work
This snake wouldn't even bend to go down my toilet drain. I was pushing so hard and sweating and it still wouldn't weave down. I got maybe 2&1/2 feet in. This was not easy to use and not worth the price.
