Amazing ... but ... WEAR DISPOSABLE GLOVES
So, this comes in a foil pouch, that is completely sealed. When you open it, WEAR GLOVES. I didn't. - more on that later. The roll is a mesh-like material that is black, and somewhat sticky. I had a cross-piece of a tent made out of aluminum, that had broke. Rather than throw the 12 ft x 12 ft pavilion way, I opted to try to fix it. I used JB Weld metal composite epoxy to tack the pieces together, and let it cure. The next day, I tacked down a heavy copper wire on top to act as a "splint". Then, I wrapped the Fiberglass Casting tape over the entire piece, and when it was wrapped - I simply submerged the entire cross-piece in a bucket of water for ~10-15 seconds and set it aside to cure and dry. The result is amazing, this stuff sets up "rock hard". Wear gloves, because if you don't; you will have your hands coated with a sticky substance that is immune to dish-washing soap, Goop cleaner, Acetone, lava soap, fingernail remover and raw gasoline. This stuff will make your hands sticky and black - and this stuff will simply have to wear off over the next week or so. A set of Nitrite Gloves would have been the wise thing to do - in retrospect.

It works!!
My daughter is in leg casts for 6 weeks and the ball of her cast was thinning. Instead of taking an hour trip for them to repair it, I decided to just go with this. Worked perfectly! Wore gloves, soaked it for 3 seconds and quickly wrapped it around the front of her foot wear it was thinning. Can't tell the difference. Only needed one roll since it was for a smaller area.

Use it immediately after opening
I'm glad I bought 2. The first one we opened and put it straight in water while we prepped. After about 3 minutes of prep we started to wrap and it was sticky and difficult to pull off the roll. The roll set before we were done wrapping. We decided to use the other one immediately upon opening. It is already damp inside the package and begins to garden once air touches it. Wrapping went smoothly and we didn't mess with placing it in water at all. About 4 minutes in it started getting sticky. When it's sticky is when you know it's beginning to set. It needs to be in its final position about 6 minutes after opening because it starts to garden at that time. It gets pretty warm for about 20 minutes and then is completely set and hard as a rock. You definitely need a dremel tool to remove it. Or go to a local urgent care to let them remove it.

Great product. Too expensive
This was amazing. I made my own cast for a sprained wrist and it really did the trick. Definitely overpriced though.

Casting wrap 3m scotch plus
Good for fixing broken things that you can wrap it around. I fixed a cane. Wear protective gloves latex or rubber. It is messy and sticky to work with. I did not wet it at first. Did first wrap and went over that with second wrap the sprayed water on it and smoothed it out. Let sit and it will cure.. Helps to watch Youtube video.
