I’ve always been a Vizio fan boy and this simply doesn’t disappoint. I bought it for my garage shop and use it constantly, especially for watching DIY videos on YouTube. It’s like creating your own classroom tutor. It has everything you would want and more connection-wise and works wirelessly or hardwired with an ethernet cable. And you can’t beat the price at $130 or less. The only detractor as other people say is the sound. You will definitely want to buy a little 20w to 30w soundbar to go with it. But don't let that stop you. It’s a fantastic TV with great built in Smart TV apps. Plenty of free shows and movies to be had in the included apps. I give it 9 out 10. Just the -1 for the sound issue.

A: The power cord that came with this television is 5 ft long.

**Q: Stand alone chromecast dongle allows a device to connect without wifi router. Does this tv have same capability?**
A: This television does have built in wireless capabilities however it would require a wireless router to connect to your network.

**Q: Can you connect this to external speakers/sound system, beyond headphone jack?**
A: Yes, I have mine connected to a set of good computer speakers that has a subwoofer and it sounds great. You must use the headphone jack to do this, or get an adapter to what you want to connect it to, RCA, etc.

**Q: Is this the current D24f-F1 model?**
A: This television is the D24f-G1 model.

This is simply an excellent 24” 1080p TV from Vizio. I’ve always been a Vizio fan boy and this simply doesn’t disappoint. Beautiful picture, fairly easy setup, horrible tinny sound. My iPad has better sound quality than this unit. I am going to have to add a sound bar to see if I can live with this thing. So sad that the electronics and smart features are so great and the sound quality of a 1950’s am radio. Two days later . . . bought the 24" Vizio sound bar and WOW - - I can now live with this unit. Easy setup and the sound quality was improved 100%.
