Algae, pet dander be gone!
I have a pool that gets constant leaves into it, with dogs that jump in and swim. The pool was a nightmare to keep from algae build on pool walls. I started using Poolrx and it has transformed my pool built in 1973!

Best pool product I have ever bought
I have had pools since 1996. We have currently owned this house and pool since 2006. In Houston, Tx we get brutally hot summers and ridiculous humidity. Every pool I have had from May to Sept we battle weekly green algae. Even having pool companies come once a week we still battled algae in the summer months. I decided to try this last fall and was very pleased. Couldn't wait to see what it would do in the summer months. It said to replace every 6-12 months. I think 3-6 was more ideal. Again...I say this because our water gets so hot especially when it's 110 outside. Basically the short of it is : this product does exactly what it says it will do. It does make your pool bluer, more so the first month of use. But never have I ever NOT had green algae start to grow until I started using this. I have had NO ALGAE at all this summer. The first time in 25 years. (Mind you I have had three different pools with different colored plaster. White, dark blue and tinted blue as in this picture) I have minimized my chemical usage as well. I am not having to fill the pool full of shock or an overabundance of chlorine to keep the algae away. The water smells better and even feels better! Now if only it could make the water cooler during these hot days, I would be totally impressed! ha! I would highly recommend this product. I got rid of my pool company three years ago and have been having to do all the work ourselves and this had reduced my stress about my pool chemicals and cleaning. I am very impressed and already bought my next one for the change. You cannot go wrong with this product.

Hotel Blue
I've been using this product for a few years now, my pool is fresh and blue, and I've saved a lot of bucks on chlorine and especially shock (chlorine). The first time I used it, I bought the plastic canister thing for $69.99 and didn't have much of a clue how to use it, just placed it in the skimmer - very careful to wash my hands, and to not splash my face (chemicals are chemical, and in concentrated form, do NOT get them near your eyes or mouth). At that time, the pool was a light shade of green, not horrible, but greenish. The next morning, I didn't see much change, nor the next, but the third morning, while making my cup of coffee for the morning, still half asleep, I looked out my kitchen window at the pool and I promise this thought went through my mind, "What am I doing at a hotel? I'm not at a hotel." The pool was a beautiful clear blue. I'm still a little unsure how it works, but the pool was starting to turn a little green after about 7 months, so I bought the booster tablet, and again within three days the pool was sparkling blue. Truly amazing. Pools in Florida are, in my experience, hard to keep blue. I used to go through almost two big buckets of 3" chlorine tabs a year, and five five-pack boxes of shock. I admit, I don't know much about pools. About two years ago, PoolRX ran into some problems with the EPA over what I was told were "labeling disputes." I think it had to do with a competitor. The EPA is notoriously obnoxious and even vindictive bureaucracy, and the product was totally withdrawn from the market, existing stocks were seized, and it was no longer available. Gee, thanks, EPA. Then I had to buy more chlorine and about three boxes of shock, and I went to another product that (I discovered) stains the pool deck rusty and is cumbersome to use. Those guys want you to drill a hole in your pipes and attach their complicated cartridge with a "pop-up valve" to let you know when it's empty. Besides detail, the reason this review is so long is to explain that when I switched back to PoolRx, there was some chemical conflict, I think, between it and the o-t-h-e-r product, the pool went a little milky, and that has taken a couple of months to clear up, but now everything seems to be back in balance, and it is clear blue again. PoolRx instructions are simple, but not extremely clear on how to use it. My experience is that you let it dissolve, and that's it. You don't have to leave the $69.99 initial use plastic canister in your skimmer or water intake basket. The booster tablet is sufficient to keep my pool blue for another six to seven months, then another, and so on, so far. Just let it dissolve into the water (about three to five days in a floater, right along with the chlorine tabs). I have a small sized pool, only five feet deep - the bigger pools are just too much pain in the neck for me. But with this pool, I keep one chlorine tab in the floater, and that's all I have to do. I have a Hayward sand filter (well, well, worth the money - it saves about $140 bucks of paper filters and hours of washing filters each year). I have a cracked pipe somewhere underground, so I closed the bottom-of-the-pool drain valve, and do not use one of those automatic pool sweepers, so every few weeks or so, I manually vacuum, but it is almost always just some dead algae accumulated in swirls near the center of the pool. Once or twice a year I'll brush the pool and vacuum all over, but it really isn't necessary. (I am very satisfied with this PoolRx product.)

Sparkling pool water
It’s never happened since we put the pool in over 25 years ago, we are still using the pool in October because of the blistering heat of summer will not let go here in Phoenix. Forecasting 101 today and it’s the 8th of the month! Which brings me to this product. We use it every year and have never had a major algae attack on the pool. Because the season continues I ordered this product to pep up the one we put in in May. I ran the pump during the heat of the day per the instructions for 8 hours. The next morning the pool is sparkling like I had added clarifier. Although we have a weekly pool service we keep our pool immaculate and it makes going in the water a lot more pleasant. Our pool water gets into the 90’s during the summer months so becomes an easy target for algae of all sorts. This product really does the job it says it does and it could not be easier to use. Just drop it in your skimmer basket and forget it for 4-5 months.

Pool RX is great.
Pool RX is a swimming pool copper & silver algicide that reduces the need for chlorine. Resulting in the minimal use of 3" chloring tablets. Pool shock is seldom or never needed when pool RX is added and ph level are balanced. The by product is a nice-looking turquoise blue film that covers the pool surface. I have used this product at my south Florida home for 3 +years.
