I loved it for the first two months, but then the wire cracked or something broke on the inside, I have purchased two other anker cords prior to this purchase, and have not had any problems. My husband has a regular coated 6 ft cord, and has not had a problem, I have another regular coated 3 ft cord for an iPad with no problems. I thought the fabric coating would make this last longer. I am not rough on it, and I am always very conscious of not bending the cord near the end points where they either go into the charger or the phone, but after two months, it broke or cracked on the inside, and it won't charge. I liked the Velcro thing to wrap up the cord, but I am disappointed that the cord broke. Mine still looks brand new, perfectly clean and everything, just it won't change. What a shame. I hate that I spent $16 or something like that for something that only lasted 2 months. So if I buy another anker product, I will not be paying the extra money on this one with the special braided outside. It's a waste of money. Buy the one with the regular coating (not the braided outside), and it will last a lot longer, plus you can buy two for the price of this one,Update: I contacted anker customer service dept. and they sent me out a new cord. It has been working well for the past month. Which is why it's a 3 star. (Average of a 1 and a 5 star). Thank you anker for your no hassle, customer service. I just provided my Amazon order number and they shipped it out.

This is one of the best lightning cables I have owned, and I have had A LOT! I bought this cable because of all the positive reviews, it is a braided cable, and it is made by a well known maker.This cable is one of the most durable cables I have used. It is braided with hard, thick rubber where the cable meets the USB and lightning ports. The ports are covered with aluminum and appear to be seamless keeping the ends from splitting open like cheaper cables which was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. I have had these cables for well over 4 months with no issues and they work the same as when I pulled them out of the box. They do not tangle and come with a Velcro cord keeper attached which was a nice little touch since this cord is 6ft. I have not tested this cable but they do seem to charge at the same if not faster rates than the original cable.

I love the way this cord functions, as in not getting tangled while it's charging my phone while I'm using it. But they only last between 12 and 18 months . I was so in love with it when I first bought it that I bought both my husband and my son one. They all worked great at first, but then each one began to not charge the phones. They would sometimes charge and sometimes not. And they would flicker back and forth charging when you'd plug it in. Very odd. I wish they had lasted longer but I only paid $14 each UPDATE: After I left my review, Anker contacted me and offered to replace the cords with brand new ones. Their customer service is very good, and they were very kind and offering to replace them. You don't see that a lot these days. Thank you, Anker!

Love it when i forst got it... Tough quality cord that is built for years of service. Unlike the cheap cables that break after a year this I can see will last many years. If this one fails I will update my review but I feel confident this will hold up.UPDATE 8 MONTHS LATER: After lots of charges this cord went bad just like all the rest :( served me well but it just gave out, I put it through the tests of punishment and I will buy another one again so overall it was a winner till I received the new one a few days after this updateUpdate 8 months 4 days later: bought a new one and it does not work with iPhone 6 or my iPad mini, maybe new update to ios hassomething to do with the issue, not sure but sent it back to amazon. I do own the shorter cable and it works great but I need to find a new company for the extra lengthUpdate 9/3/2016 Seller contacted me about a week ago and sent me a new cord free of charge! This one they sent works like a charm and I’m back to loving this high quality cord they sell. Thank you Anker you restored my faith in your quality products

FIRE!!!! DANGER!!! Don't buy t his product unless you'd like to burn down your room! Have had this USB charge cable about a year. All of a sudden today I noticed smoke coming out of my iPad charge port and then can see a small, bright, intense, orange light! Yikes!! It split apart at the small connector end, shorting. So dangerous! This product should not be sold on Amazon.February 20, 2017***This is an edited review of my original review.***The maker contacted me and we exchanged information. I returned the burnt cable and received a new, replacement cable that looks stronger than the original. Its also bright red so I'll never loose sight of where it is!I'm very pleased with how the maker handled this. Tho its important to remember the original cable could have easily started a fire if it wasn't supervised.

The first one lasted two months and stopped working. No fraying or stress was apparent from the outside, it seemed to be broken internally. Anker immediately sent me a new one overnight! They sent me their most recent cable at no cost and followed up to make sure I was satisfied. The new cable is working great. Anker really has the best customer service when it comes to electronic assesories and besides this one-time defect, their products are amazing as well. I feel confident that when I purchase from anker I will get a quality product and in the rare event something is defective, Anker's friendly customer service will take care of me quickly.

6ft|Colour: Space Gray USB-lighting PortDisappointed!! I am another heavy user of Anker products, But now I have 2x (NON working) 6ft USB to lighting port cables in front of me. I have always had great experiences with Anker products in the past, however these cables are disappointing. I have had it for FIVE months and only used them for over night charging, so light use. In the last few weeks I have been seeing "device not supported" messages and the phone rapidly flicking between charging and not charging but after a dozen or so attempts the phone will go on a stable charge. None of the terminals on the lightning connector have been damaged/corroded. I have seen this behaviour before from cheap after market suppliers but never from this type of well know brand, especially as I pay the premium for name and manufacturing process.. Is the only option to go with the SHORT apple supplied cable.?

Stunning! I buy all of my cables through Anker now - I have replaced all others. HIGH quality. They come in a variety of colours to suit everyones taste and look very cool! They don't stop working with IOS updates as i've experienced from other brands. Come in various lengths. AND, most pleasingly, the braided material means that they are durable and don't need replacing every 3 months like the APPLE cables do. Great customer services team as well! Very impressed. Very Happy. A loyal customer from now on.

I purchased two of the above cables in June 2017, and after 12 months of intensive use, one lightning port socket was damaged, despite the fact that I would pull at the port rather than the cable. The second cable suddenly stopped working. I contacted Anker about the issues, and they asked me to photograph the issues as well as the serial number of the both cables. Within 24 hours I was approved for a free replacement to the upgraded Mark II cable. Anker was out of stock with the silver colour so they offered me either the red or the graphite. I choose red and Anker customer services emailed me to confirm that 2 new ones were on their way.I am well impressed with 1. The professionalism in response and analysis from Anker Customer services 2. Their response times (considering I am based in the UK, and they are USA based) 3. the ability Anker have to use the UK based Amazon Anker Distribution centre to send me the replacement cables.I can only recommend Anker: it is a shame that the cables both failed within 12 months, but a solution is at least being offered in a painless fashion.

I'm very disappointed with this cable. Within the first few days it stopped charging if you inserted the lightining end into my iphone with the anker logo facing up. Fair enough it still worked if flipped over so I kept using it. Then, a month down the line it started heating up at the lightning end and making my phone extremely hot. Now it has stopped charging altogether, I get the "accessory may not be supported" message and it is just a useless piece of wire now. I wish anker would replace the product but I'm not optimistic because this happened once before and I didn't get a response from them despite three emails being sent in.Anker, if you are reading this can I please have a replacement cable so I can at least charge my phone

Massive fan of Anker and I want to like these cables but they just don't last! Girlfriend has gone through 3 of these with light usage sat on the bedside table in just over a year. Bend durability not great, intermittently connects if you bend it around a bit by the lightning end but it's unusable in the current state.Just a little disappointing, don't really want to use another brand but these aren't up to the job.
