Terrible - just like prior reviews mentioned
I was hopeful to be the exception- but like other reviews said, it was poorly made for the cost. Packaging was done poorly and the wooden pieces had fallen off the game. Would have tried to fix it if it cost $50, not $260 (with tax)- returning it.

Exactly what my son wanted
Santa got rave reviews for bringing Pocket Golf this year. I had never heard of Pocket Golf and had to search for quite some time to figure out what it was so I didn't buy the wrong thing. This is exactly the same board as the one he plays with at school. It is great for hand/eye coordination as well as great for having friends over to hang out.We bought (oh, wait - Santa brought) the stand that goes with it and it was WAYYY too tall for younger boys. So we ended up buying a card table to place this on and have it in the garage. The boys are in HEAVEN.So while, yes, this is not the most well-made toy out there -- it's def going to last longer than some of the plastic crap we've bought over the years. I'm hoping to get a good ten yrs out of it and am hoping we don't ever lose the pieces. I am writing this with hopes that they'll start to sell the pieces separately. I'd buy more of them now just to have on hand. But so far this is the best present yet.Thank you!!!

Nostalgia! But...
The looks of it seems a clean/modern version of the table top game that I used to play at my nearby park during after school programs and summer school.BUT as some other reviewers stated, the table does come with some issues as some of the wood parts were loose at delivery. The wood parts seem to be attached via small/thin picks (not really nails).I tried to attach them, but the holes don't seem to align as the picks seem bent during delivery.I will try to fix it using crazy glue and it should do the trick. The broken parts seem simple enough to fix so I don't think it will be that big of an issue.

NOT WORTH THE NOSTALGIA!!! 😢
The media could not be loaded. Guys I know this is from our childhood and I’m glad people remember this game- but this company making then is BAD. I bought TWO of these as gifts and they BOTH came in shambles. The wooden pieces fell off AND a lot were missing. You will have to attach most of the board. One of them came without carems too. DO NOT PURCHASE!

Brings back memories and fun to play!
The board is an updated version of the original but basically the same game. Mine arrived with some slight damage because the cue sticks were packaged inside the playing surface. The cue sticks knocked the little wood walls out of place-About 7 walls needed to be glued back in place so we could play. We bought small nails to permanently secure the walls of each hole. The walls are barely secured to the table with teeny tiny metal pins that barely stick into the game board. An easy fix with new nails. A few tee boxes are incorrectly labeled: there is the number and a "th" !!! So the 1st tee is labeled 1th, 2nd is labeled 2th, etc. The box states "Made in China".You really, really need to set aside the little annoyances and what you've got is super fun, indoor board game for the family. It's truly a great buy. And it was a better deal than the "Strokes" Carom table game.Bought this in 2012 for $57.44 (sale at the time). I still have it. The little fixes I did were minor and went a long way. I still recommend it if you can find it discounted.

Great replica (for the price)
This is very clearly a replica... the coloration doesn't match the old version, and the wood is a much lighter weight wood. However, by all appearances it is so close as to be almost indistinguishable. The wood change means it can get damaged a lot easier... and the hole-bordering pieces of wood are very cheaply attached... The nails holding them in resemble staples more than nails, and easily bend and detach. In fact, it arrived with some of the pieces having detached themselves in shipping. That said, it was extremely inexpensive. I would have probably paid $120+ for the quality of the original, so I think this is quite fair. I will probably work to tighten it up a little bit by replacing the nails with some more sturdier ones, and maybe using gorilla glue to give it a little more solidity. I'm guessing a solid 30 minutes of work will have this thing ready to play.So buyer beware, if the other reviews plus mine say anything, it's that this purchase will require some assembly with tools not included. I still love it. I was looking for this for years and am thrilled to have it, even if it only lasts for 10 games. Plus this thing is so simple any part of it can be fixed up if something breaks.[Update: The price I paid was about $69.09 for reference. I hadn't realize the price fluctuates when I posted this review]

Poorly constructed
Approximates the original well in appearance but is shoddily constructed. Had to glue multiple wooden stops to the board immediately after taking it out of the box. As noted in some of the other reviews, there are mis-spellings (“3th tee”). Disappointing for the price and just in general. Had hoped for better.

Quality just wasn't there.
The game itself, it exactly what I was looking for. The craftsmanship however, was shoddy at best. The wood peg boundaries are way off from the cut of the holes. The wood isn't sanded down, and on the bottom you can see every area that got messed up. It felt like paid extra and I was handed the reject of the collection. Middle (main) board is loose and wobbles instead of being securely fastened. There are cracks in the middle board near the third hole. Yes. Cracks.I'll be lucky if it lasts a month. But it's a game I wanted to teach my kids, from my childhood.Bittersweet purchase to say the least.
