Wear gloves and a mask!
This stuff works so well! I used it diluted with water in a pump garden sprayer bottle on my Lennox AC unit. Let it sit for a few minutes and it foams up and expands pushing all the dirt and debris out of the AC fins. Give it a really good rinse and you're ready for the season. Gloves and a mask are a must.

Powerful Coil Cleaner, Just Be Sure to Use Proper Safety Gear
I used this Nu-Brite cleaner on our outdoor condenser unit, which hasnโt been cleaned in at least a year. I diluted it about 1:3 with water in a pump sprayer and applied it early in the morning while the system was off and cool. The foaming started right away, and within a few minutes I could see all the grime and dust starting to lift. Rinsing it off was easy with a regular garden hose. After the cleaning, the system ran noticeably smoother. The engine temp stayed normal, and the airflow felt stronger. I didnโt run any fancy tests, but I could hear the difference in how quietly it ran. The smell is no joke though, very strong and chemical-heavy. I wore gloves and a mask, and even then I made sure to stand upwind while spraying. This is definitely not something Iโd use indoors or without proper protection. Value-wise, I think itโs worth it. Iโve cleaned three AC units so far and still have plenty left in the gallon jug. Itโs more powerful than the coil cleaner I used last year, and I didnโt have to scrub anything. Just spray, wait, rinse, done. This is now part of my regular summer maintenance routine. It saves time and effort, and I feel better knowing the unit is running clean.

Excellent products!
Excellent product, but do not use this on mini splits, nor other micro channel condensers or evaporators as it will eat them alive. This should only be used by professionals, and on all non micro channel coils for best results. If you leave it on too long, you will cause damage and have been warned. If you are sure you need this, it will clean every bit of sap and dirt out of your condenser coils. I clean mine approximately every five years with a chemical similar to this for micro channel and my carrier system still looks like new eight years later.

amazing scale and debris removal
I just used this today to clean my lennox heat pump condenser coils. The directions say to mix 1-to-4 for heavy grime, and 1-to-8 for light. I added 200 ml to a hand-held garden sprayer with the pump on the top, and topped off to 1200ml with water. It was the perfect amount to spray both in inner and outer coils. I removed the fan (but first pull the power disconnect). I could reach inside with the small sprayer set to fine mist instead of heavy stream. I covered all radiator fins on the inside and outside, while wearing protective glasses. I got a wiff of the spray which reminds me of a strong caustic agent (this is NOT window cleaner despite the pretty blue color!) I then took about 10 minutes to pull out the garden hose and spray handle set to 'garden' setting for medium spray. I read warnings NOT to use the 'jet' setting which could risk bending old fins. After ten minutes or so, there was foam coming out the in/out sides of the condenser. I sprayed down from the top to wash the dirt away from the coils. i finished the inside with a web-dry vacuum. Any bent or dinged fins got straitened with a heavy brush (see videos online). I figure at this ratio I can get professional-grade cleaning about another 10 or 12 times from this single gallon. I think it's a great deal.

Great product, pretty potent stuff
Great product, pretty potent stuff. I manned-up and used it with shorts and without gloves. Every now and then a drop would fly on my skin and quickly started to burn. No marks or long lasting affects. I did the heavy use 1:4 ratio and mixed 3.2 cups of this with 12.8 cups of water into my 1 gallon sprayer. I went nuts and used the whole gallon for one application. After I sprayed it into the crevices it started to foam up. I sprayed the inside too for the heck of it. After a few minutes the foam started to look brown as it carried the dirt out of the cracks. About 15 minutes later I rinsed it all off with water. After putting everything back together and turning on my A/C, man I tell ya that thing is many times quieter than it was before. I've had to open the door to check that it's even on. It was getting louder and louder as each month passed. You kind of get used to it since it's a slow progression of noise. The motor can work less and cool more efficiently. I'm sure it'll show in my electricity bill. What led me to getting this product is that the compressor kept itself off after overheating while the fan was still turning. I came home and the furnace was still circulating inside air but it was warm at 82 deg. I ordered the product then luckily the day it came the compressor/fan was so loud we had to turn it all off so the neighbors wouldn't complain. Last season I used a $5 can of cleaner from the local hardware store. Did it's job for one season. But from now on I'm using this product every Spring.
