Who thought this would work? Well it does. Most of the gnats, flies and other flying insects are gone from my entry area. These were super effective. I have read about many other brands and some said they were fragile and hard to open. THESE WERE NOT. They were easy, I didn’t break a single one. The size and colors are not only effective it they look so cute in my pots. The cost of these is so minimal and the effect so amazing everyone should buy a set. I highly recommend

I love my dragonflies. They are small and subtle, not big and flashy. Of course, they come in colors no dragonfly on earth has ever been. The wings must be opened before use. They are supposed to chase away bugs, but I have a different use. I’m putting mine in the outdoor pots where the plants should only be watered once a week (lambs ears, rosemary, foxtail fern, etc.) or not at all (artificial fern, or artificial geraniums) as a reminder that these plants have special watering instructions.

These work well I was having a fly problems so I put them up all over the yard and it really did cut them back. I was surprised and they’re cute when the breeze hits some the wings kind of flutter around a little bit and it bounces so it does keep the bugs away. Good for the price.

When I heard about dragonflies keeping wasps and hornets away, I couldn’t believe I hadn’t heard of that before. So I took a chance. And it is absolutely correct. I have them placed in various parts where historically I always get these nests, and wasps and Yellowjackets stay completely away from them.

The dragonflies aren't very lifelike at all...they are smaller than real dragonflies, but we'll see how they work. The wings are a bit challenging to spread out. I hope they work as well as rumored. They seem to pop off the stakes easily.

Do not work I guess they are cute. But as for scaring bugs away.. absolutely not! See photos the flys are on the wings. Didn’t scare wasp or bees either

I got these in hopes that they may deter mosquitoes and other bugs from my outdoor area. I’m not sure if they will help yet, but I can tell you that there are adorable and worth it just as decorations! This set came with a LOT of dragonflies. The group you see me holding in my photo is only half of what you get. As you go to use each one, be sure to open their wings to help them stay open. The wire there are attached to can be inserted into your plants or other areas (not in my second photo I inserted them into the wicker on the back of my chair!). You can also bend the wire - using a pair of pliers will help - to wrap them around things. The dragonflies are light but well-made. The wire is stiff, but also long and flexible enough to make the dragonflies look like they are moving in the wind which is the look you’re going for in deterring insects. I’ve heard of people attaching these to their hats when they are gardening - I can see myself pushing one of the wires through the back of my visor so the dragonfly is perched above my head. Again, I’m not sure if these will work as a deterrent, but one way or the other I’m glad I got them because they sure are cute!

Cute item to put in outdoor potted plants. The only issue I had was over time with the weather and wind, some of the wings would go flying off. These would be perfect and pretty for indoor use. Not expensive and super cute.
