The unit came quicker than I thought it would. I was able to hook it up to my computer and do a back up with plenty of extra room. It had everything that needed in the package and it worked like a charm. I’m still using it now and it works just fine. An excellent product looks like a charm.

This hard drive is very durable! I’ve had it for over 4 months, take it everywhere, and have had zero problems. It’s super fast and was easy to install on my Mac. I love how compact yet sturdy it is. Highly recommend this brand—it’s definitely worth the money!

This drive works just fine, and while it’s not indestructible, I have dropped it a couple of times and it’s doing alright. It’s obviously more fragile than a SSD, though. Fast reading and writing. I bought it because I used to work in a tech company and this is the drive our IT department used. I read the reviews here before I purchased it, so I knew ahead of time that the cable could come loose. I move it around a lot, and as long as I’m careful and sure to plug the cable into the drive securely, I don’t have any trouble with it. Is it a hassle? It can be. A deal breaker? Not for me, not if you’re careful when moving it around, but it just depends on the person. Something to consider, sure.

LaCie 2TB Rugged Mini HDD - I do a few paid shoots as a photographer and was intending to use this drive as my primary space to upload RAWs and edit from.It worked the very first time I plugged it in - smooth, no issues, I was able to upload up to 2,000 RAW files I shot for weddings and portrait sessions in under an hour. After that, I began selecting the photos I would use, deleting others, and edited more on Photoshop. After around five hours of work, I unplugged the drive from my MacBook and stored it safely in a hard-shell case on my desk.I haven't used it for a week since then. Last night, I tried to connect it to my laptop to begin working on the last portion of my wedding shots and nearly broke down with stress after half an hour of trying to get it to work. Oddly, the port where the connector goes in is now wobbly, despite never having mishandled the drive in any way, shape, or form. The drive was plugged in at an equal angle to my laptop. I have no pets and no roommates that would have tampered with it. It just sat in a case on my desk, protected from weather, light, movement, water, humidity, and other elements that could have caused it to malfunction. It was brand new and yet, it is no longer working.I can't understand how this could have happened and I'm incredibly disappointed that I was sent a hard drive that essentially became a useless brick after the very first use.
