Works well for easy application for a singular event. Stayed on during hot environment i.e. crowded room at convention events. Color in ad to real life application is good!

Makes the most perfect solid black color, and looked even better with black eyeshadow applied on top. Application was great and it washed off without any staining. But if you are looking for something that doesnt transfer, stay away -- this will get all over everything and no amount of powder or setting spray can help

This is my first face paint kit. It's pretty easy to use and the colors stayed on well (also wash off easily with water). I bought additional brushes and sponges, but the brushes that came with the kit were a good size. The only complaint is the white color takes a lot to pack on, and fades a lot when dried.

As the token artist-mom I got roped into helping the freshman class face-painting booth fundraiser. Another mom purchased the oil-based paints and boy and I’m glad I picked up these. The colors were super pigmented and covered great, but also watered down and acted like watercolors when I needed them to. I loved that I could move the individual paints around in the palette to arrange them just how I like. And if needed, I could take certain colors out and use them on their own. Washing up this between kids was quick whereas I’m still cleaning brushes from the oil-based paints a day later. The paint certainly held up, too. Between faces I played around and gave myself some galaxy art and hours later a store cashier thought it was a tattoo. I was the recipient of a massive rainbow across my face. Pink seemed to linger but I was able to get it off without any linger stains with a second round of face wash. One kid changed her mind after I started painted with black. A baby wipe easily cleaned her face without any shadows and I was able to paint a light colored jellyfish. The fundraiser was a success and I will be purchasing more Blue Squid paints for the student artists to use in the next face painting event.

incredibly small, difficulty to blend and set with powder. BURNT my skin and made my vision foggy just from being near my eyes. i have used hundreds of makeup products and never had anything this bad.

So, this was so easy to use! I loved how it went on smooth and was easy to control. I have no skills so it was good for me. However, the black paint left me with chemical burns. The white had no bad side effects. I don't usually have sensitive skin. Not to say it will be bad for everyone. Just be sure to do a test spot first. It started burning immediately as I put it on. I see a lot of good reviews on here as well. Like I said just try a test spot. I used it around both of my eyes, one eye is bad but the other is less bad.

I never write reviews but I had a hard time choosing a face paint to buy for my Nebula costume, and I just wanted to make it easy for others and say: this product is a solid, great quality choice. It arrived a day late unfortunately, but once I opened it and gave it a try, all was forgiven. Pros: + Nice packaging, each color can be taken out individually and has its own lid. + Amazing color payoff (for the blue in the video I used 2 layers of paint using a brush, but with a sponge I think it would be even better coverage). + Staying power, doesn't scratch or rub off. + It does not crack at all. + Comfortable; doesn't feel greasy or dirty. + Good amount; after all the painting I did on my arms and face, I didn't make a noticeable dent in any of my paints. Cons: - The faint part on half my hand in the video (around index finger/thumb) is when I accidentally got running water on it. It is water soluble so I imagine if you're sweaty and rub the paint, it'll come off. The upside to that is it washed out easily and thoroughly. - It comes with 2 small brushes, great for detail work but I would like a sponge to cover large areas. All in all, I am very pleased with this product and feel like it was well worth the $30.

Update March 2024: the seller responded quickly after I left my review. I had purchased 7 of these and one is missing the white. They offered me a refund. I would’ve loved a white pan sent to me, but I guess this way they expect me to buy a new set. I’m going to just use a white from a different pallet I have. We need a large white anyway. So, great customer service. The paints continue to work well for my factoring class. We started practicing on practice boards (DIY dollar store clear plastic chopping board with a face drawn on paper and taped under it). The black and green are hard to get off) —- Original review: I actually love these face paints. I bought 8 sets on Black Friday to use to teach a class in February. Just opened them up - one set is missing the white. Ugh!! Of course this sucks when I’m hoping the kids will take the paints home. I will change the review to 5 if I get good seller feedback. In the attached photo of paint on my arm, the paint has been there for about 5 hours and 2 hand washes so it’s a bit smudged. It came off VERY easily with soap and water. I did a lot of research to find the most professional paint with the least toxicity. This brand was the winner. Best for sensitive skin and none of the horrible toxins in the major brands. The brushes that come with the set are good. The paints go on nicely. You’ll just need to get a face paint sponge (not regular make up sponge) for blending colors for the base.

Great product to put on, lovely coverage, bright colours. As good as the leading brand. However I purchased for kids to use, to replace previous Blue squid set. I purchased the 'Pro' in error. I found that it was harder to remove with wet wipes and lead to staining of skin. I would purchase this brand again but double check that it's for kids.
