Natural Force

I'm Happy to report that "Natural Force" by Bonnie Tyler totally met my expectations! Had I known that "Natural Force" was the European name for the album released in the United States entitled "It's A Heartache": I'd have purchased it long ago! Furthermore: Had I purchased while it was still on the "Regular" Market": I'd have undoubtedly saved a significant amount of money! However, I knew what I was getting when I ordered this copy; and was perfectly willing to pay the requesdted price. As for the album itself: It's exactly like the "It's A Heartache" album; released in America in 1978. Of course, it contains a couple bonus selections which are equally enjoyable and sheer audible ecstasy all the way! Needless to say: I didn't mind the bonus Songs one single iota! After all: It's better to have something added to an album than to have something omitted or taken away, isn't it? Anyhow: I'd highly recommend this Cd to anyone who is a true and devout fan of bonnie tyler. You can't possibly go wrong!

I remember walking through a casino in Reno in 1978 I think it was the Hilton which had a nice size jazz type bar with bands playing. In the distance, I could hear Blame Me and then It's A Heartache-Bonnie had me right there as I consider this CD to be in the Top 100 of all time with every song a great song and easy to put on and listen to over and over without singing the lyrics under you breath. Reno Reviews had called Bonnie the female Rod Stewart but It's a Heartache became #3 on the Rock Charts and #2 on the Country Charts. Bonnie's voice is more husky and raw in the beginning of her career. Rumors abound about a throat operation ala Joe Cocker and Rod Stewart. Bonnie is in the top 25 female artists in the world now with a huge following in Europe and the UK. Welsh born. Gold. Platinum. Grammy. Total Eclipse of the Heart what a song... Listen to Here I Am... what a song... Heartbreaker...

This recording gave Bonnie Tyler the big hit "It's A Heartache". There are 2 bonus tracks included and Bonnie's singing is in fine form throughout the cd.John Walsh

If you are a fan of Bonnie Tyler this album won't disappoint. I got it just to have "Living for the City" and am very impressed with the album. Definitely a melancholy album but Bonnie's raspy vocals are amazing. This is a must have album for my collection. If you the 70's sound this is for you.'

Bonnie's debut album, World starts tonight, yielded the UK top ten hit, Lost in France, but that single did not chart in America - if it was released there at all. Following that album, Bonnie had vocal problems that necessitated an operation. This had a noticeable but not too dramatic on her voice. This album was the first that Bonnie recorded after the operation. It was released in America with an identical track listing but titled It's a heartache.The big hit here is It's a heartache. It was a top five hit in Britain and America and (more surprisingly) was also a top ten country hit in America, where several country singers including Dave and Sugar, Juice Newton and Lorrie Morgan have covered it. It remains one of the two songs that people think of first when Bonnie's name is mentioned, the other being Total eclipse of the heart, her transatlantic number one hit. Of course, that was recorded some years later so you won't find it here.The general pattern of the album is similar to her debut, with several Scott-Wolfe songs plus some covers, though the balance has changed. The covers include Natural woman (Aretha Franklin) and Living for the city (Stevie Wonder).Bonnie's music has been repackaged many times in Britain, Germany and America so most of these songs have been reissued on various compilations, but this is one of the four original albums. I have the original LP and wanted this for the car.Did not disappoint ,it's how ones ear is but I find her sound a real belter.For anyone who likes a rock chick she's got to be up there.
