does this fit on a 4 1/2 stanley plane? mine has only one screw on the front base part of the handle. The only picture shown here shows 2 holes.

It only has one all the way through. And it should work..

Anyone put these on a new 12-904?

Not sure what the 12-904 is but I've put them on a Stanley Bailey #5 Jack Plane. Fits fine.

Will this fit a vintage Stanley no.4?

I put it on an old Stanley No. 7 (probably 1940's model) and it worked fine. Had to use the old mounting screws with some washers to make it work. Not sure about a No. 4

Could this me made to fit a no. 3 Stanley hand plane?

Number 3 doesn’t have screw on the toe of the tote, instead it has a metal stub up into tote and is smaller tote or handle.
