What I have been waiting for
I had looked into a lot of these multipattern books when I wanted to get one for my teenage daughter and have always been frustrated that few had patterns big enough for me. I was so happy to see this book published that I got it within a month. I am comparing it to Love at First Stitch which I eventually chose for my daughter and Singer Perfect Plus which I won at a sewing meeting. This book has many patterns which I loved at first glance, like La Dolce Vita, a long, flowing summer dress; Vintage Chic, a more classic style dress with a lower neckline that I find flattering; Southwest Charm, a casual blouse long enough to be called a tunic. It has many patterns that look good on my figure type: 68", size 48, broad shoulders with narrow hips. I don't really like the front cover, but there are 23 more patterns including many pencil skirts and pants for different kind of fabrics. The patterns are like the magazines with many overlapping each other on the page and they include the seam allowances. Instructions are very clear to me, an experienced seamstress. Compared to the Perfect Plus book by Singer, these patterns will be easier for me because they are sized for someone who is 66 inches tall whereas Perfect Plus is for 62 inches. Perfect Plus also emphasizes a more professional wardrobe, whereas this book has more variety. The Love at First Stitch has fewer patterns and is aimed at a younger, more petite seamstress who is developing new skills with patterns that become more challenging as the book progresses. At this point I feel that my review is not complete until I have tried a few of the patterns and that will take me months. At this point I am very happy with this book.

Great!
I love this book...its everything I was hoping it would be. I have big boobs, no butt, and thin legs. Im able to use the different sizes to create the perfect-fit. The styles are great. I recommend you read ALL the instructions FIRST before beginning, and measure yourself in detail to find the perfect size for each pattern you use. Also, I purchased a pack of multi colored highlighter pens at Hobby Lobby, for highlighting each pattern I choose in a diff color. It makes it stand out for easier tracing onto tissue paper for cutting. You have to do this once for each pattern. I put my traced and cut patterns in a labeled letter envelope, and keep them all in a larger yellow envelope inside the book for future use. Very simple if you just relax, and TAKE YOUR TIME, being very careful to highlight in detail all the outside lines you need, and mark every instructional detail onto your traced pattern. 👍👍

Easy To Do Patterns With Some Intersting Style
I spent last night going through this book. I am really pleased with my purchase. I read through many reviews before deciding to buy the book. While I agree that a few of patterns may seem too much like "sacks' to some, or too fitted for others, I liked the styles, overall. Yes, not all of the patterns apply to all full figure shapes, but what patterns do? I found patterns for each of the general body types. I bought the book for the waterfall coat pattern and the sweater / pencil skirt combo. I figured that those two patterns would cover the cost of the book, even if I wasn't interested in the other outfits. So, I was pleasantly surprised at the other patterns. I also liked that the patterns were easy to make. There is a lot of style packed into a few seams per garment. While I have been sewing since I as 10, and I can create highly fitted things, I really don't care for them. I am more comfort driven in my style choices. I am an apple shape, so anything really detailed requires a lot of refitting and adjusting. These patterns are simple and straightforward. A few general comments: 1) If you get this book, go for the book form and not the kindle. This book is set up like the "Sew Perfect" book in that the patterns are in a packet at the back of the book. I would guess in the kindle version, you would have to print them out and use a ton of tape and paper to put a full size pattern together. 2) You need to mark your own seam allowances on the patterns. So make sure to read the instructions on how much seam allowances you need to put, and where, because it can differ from part to part. I think they do this because some of the same pattern pieces are used for different outfits, and in different ways. If you read the comments and tips, you'll be fine. 3) There are a few garments that have satin fabric recommendations. I personally don't like satin, it tends to highlight areas I don't want to highlight. But don't let that turn you off to the pattern. You can go with a different fabric, even a jersey to get the feel and texture you want. 4) The only reason that I didn't give this book a 5 star rating is because it really didn't go into the many variations you could do with each pattern. That would have appealed to more people, I think. For example, they have several pencil type skirts, which are all done with a stiff woven fabric. I plan on trying them with a Ponte knit fabric instead and maybe doing a light elastic in the waist. Think of "possibilities" when you look at the patterns.Anyway, I am enjoying the patterns, and will be going shopping this week for fabric. I can't wait to make the coat!

I love this book
I love this book! The patterns fit me really well, which is something I have had trouble with for years. There are a number of pencil skirt patterns, pants patterns, two dresses and lots of tops.

Full-Figure Fashion: 24 Plus-Size Patterns
Only for the experienced dressmaker, or one keen to try and to learn techniques involved with jersey-type materials. Styles are not at all to my liking, The model on the front page of this book isn't a large size - if I were her size I wouldn't be dieting, I'd be happy and be buying normal sized patterns. If this book is to be successful, I think they should put a fuller figure model (at the very least size 20) on the front, and include patterns that are not just re-jigs of other patterns in the book. Waste of Money!

A good buy.
A solid book of relaxed basics from Burda. The shapes are simple and will fit in with any waldrobe. Many of these patterns have been issued in Burdastyle Magazine as early as 2012 see their site . I paid less than £6.00 for a new book ,( US version sizing in inches)from one of the other sellers including all patterns, brillant value for money considering one paper pattern bought from a shop would cost £7.00.I plan to make up at least 8 items. I only need minor pattern alterations on Burda patterns because they are well drafted.A good buy.Update Feb 17Made Skinny fit trousers. AMAZING. Got rid of consealed zip on side, will not last and inserted fly front. Widen leg a bit from knee to ankle to get rid of zip at the ankle. Made them up in heavy trouser cotton with stretch similiar weight to meduim weight denim. Lenthen crotch by 1 inch on back, a very good fit through the hip, bum and waist and legs. This pattern will be adapted for jeans and made up simple in cotton sateen. GOLD FROM BURDA

Also the styles include a lot of loose options which are kind of boring and unexciting
My biggest problem with this book is the pattern sizes aren't big enough for me. I think if you will mention plus sizes on the cover it should include patterns to fit up to the largest standard plus size you can find at your average retailer (of which I am in the middle). Also the styles include a lot of loose options which are kind of boring and unexciting. Lots of plus size people started sewing because they want clothes that make them feel pretty and can't easily find them at their local stores. All in all its not a bad book it's just uninspiring in the pattern selection and disappointing in its size selection that only really goes up to a size similar to a peningtons size 2xl.
