Second time lucky!
This is my second Lumie in 2 years. Sadly the first fell off the shelf as there was little grip when pushing the buttons. It did still work but the broken glass was an accident waiting to happen! Now the mornings are so dark for much longer than in the summer months, it's a struggle to wake up without the daylight so I decided to try again with a Lumie and put it on a shelf with backing! I have to say the grip seems much better and the buttons are easier to press. It seemed easier to programme than last time too. Radio sounds good, the light is very bright on its highest setting and I woke well this morning! It isn't cheap but it looks much nicer than some other models on the market and does the job.

ADHD: Game Changer
Light is bright but not overpowering. I use it as a bedside light so I don’t need my lamp in my room anymore, I love waking up to the radio in the morning, I can adjust the volume so it doesn’t startle me. I struggled with going on my phone first thing and hitting snooze constantly. Personally hitting snooze is harder as I have to stretch to do it so I don’t tend to do that, which has been great for getting up on time. Also not on my phone first thing as now I can put my phone in my drawer out of the way. The light and radio wake me up effectively. I am using the unset setting for my sleep routine. You can select how long you want it on for and adjust where necessary. I struggle to go to bed at a good time. I put the sunset setting on 45 minutes before I want to go to bed (I set an alarm on my phone to remember to do this) and the dimming light gives me a natural signal that it’s time to go to bed since it becomes too dark to do things. I then just chill in bed becoming tired as the light gets darker. The light has a reddish tone when darker, it’s relaxing. You can set the wake up alarm for every day of the week, and you can have different alarms for each day. Honestly, I’m loving this light. Cons are that when the alarm goes off so does the light, which leaves my room dark, but you can beat it to it. You have to get used to the controls but I think I’ve got it now. There’s no remote (as expected) so if it’s further away from you you do have to make more of an effort to change things or turn the alarm off etc. But, it’s all worth it to me for how much it helps me. I wake up so much more refreshed. Thank you!

Good quality and multifunctional
Good quality, the glass is sturdy and can handle being transported. The sound quality is good and there are a range of great noise options, and it also works well as a radio and bluetooth speaker (decent for music but obviously not specialised for it). Not having the option of DAB is unfortunate but definitely not worth the extra money. I found it very easy to use and haven’t really needed the instructions, but some people may find the menu a little overwhelming. The sunrise and sunset are great, though unsure how much they help wake me up as it’s currently summer so very light in the mornings regardless. I bought it used for ~£110 and found that worth it, but don’t think I’d pay full price. Generally a great product but expensive for what it is.

Big and Beautiful! Works perfectly!
Slightly tricky to set up because of the many functions, but it is well worth it! It worked perfectly and I think money well spent.

Stylish but could be improved
This is an elegant and sturdy radio alarm clock with good quality sound. I like the quality of the sunrise/ sunset light and I have to say I have never still been awake once the sun has set, this definitely works with its magic powers! However, for this price I would have expected more. I am comparing to my previous much cheaper one which although the quality is superior it is not as sophisticated. Being able to control remotely or by an app which my previous one did isn’t too much to ask for in this day and age? It is only hand control and these are very complicated until you get used to them. This means the clock has to be restricted to being at the side of my bed. You can’t see the digital clock when it’s dark if you wake up in the middle of the night. I could with my previous one. Why it needs so many alarm sounds I don’t know! My previous one had different colours aswell. This one doesn’t.

I never was a morning person but this is brilliant
I have struggled with mornings my whole life. When I was starting a new job which was fully in the office I bought this to try to help to me and it has been absolutely brilliant. I have it set up so that it plays the classical radio station on FM as it gets brighter in the mornings. At night the sunset function dims the light and the music to send you right to sleep. The lamp is so powerful and I use it during the winter days to brighten up the room. I used to have one of the basic Lumie lamps which were great but this is light years ahead. Also you can set it up for the week for the alarm. So on Mondays I set it up to wake me up at 6:30 but on Sundays it goes off at 10:00. Once you set it up you can just let it do its thing. Of course you can also set up a once off alarm if you want. I would strongly to recommend it to anyone who hate mornings!

Helps with my SAD
I get pretty bad SAD in the winter months so my girlfriend bought me this lamp. My work means that I work from home so I usually just wake up with the sun but that makes it very difficult to get into a routine in the winter months when the sun rises later. I set the lamp to wake me up at 6 in the morning and it feels just as though the sun is rising. Sometimes I wake up as it's about half way through its transition (it's a dark red light) and I look up and know I've got about another 10minutes left to sleep which is always nice. Waking up with light also helps me feel refreshed in the morning, it must trick your body into thinking it's actually daylight. I don't use the noise feature if I'm honest, just because I don't like sound that much, but I'm sure it works great. I also don't use the sunset feature to help me get to sleep, I tried it once, but I like to read in bed until I'm tired and I sort of felt as though I was racing the lamp before it got too dark for me to read. FYI level 13, I've found, is the perfect reading before sleep level. The alarm itself is very easy to set also. Anyway, getting me back into a routine helped with my SAD, looking forward to using it again this winter.
