D’Addario Accessories Custom Series Circuit Breaker Guitar Cable - Momentary Kill Switch Instrument Cable with ¼ Inch Ends - On/Off Switch for Silent Instrument Changes - Right Angle, 20 feet

The circuit breaker on/off switch really made switching guitars easy without turning down volume on amplifier... I tested the right angle 1/4 plug to Gibson LP studio electric guitar and It gave me a solid click and the cable stayed in place very well during the 20 minutes test playing sitting down and playing while walking around in the kitchen . For the Martin GPCPA5 acoustic/electric guitar, the right angle 1/4 plug was pushed in but can't achieve the solid click.. Just flushed tight only .. During my 20 minutes testing, it came loose twice dropping connection ... I know with my Live wire elite 10' cable, I was able to get a solid click connection with both the Martin and the Gibson. I think this is a plug tolerance deviations between various manufacturers. I am happy with the sound quality of this planet wave / D'addario cable. Perhaps if I ever have to go on stage with this cable, I will have to limit my movements so the plug won't come loose with my Martjn guitar. I also noticed this cable tends to tangle into mini loops. Perhaps due to the long length. Prime membership really shined with this shipment. I ordered this cable on Sunday evening and it arrived around 8am Monday morning. I was really shocked of my good karma :)) overall, I like this solidly made cable and the packaging was outstanding too :)

I've had this cable for five years. Works just as good as the day I bought it. For gigs, practicing, and rehearsing the ability to completely mute my base/guitar is indispensable. If you want to leave the amp on while changing instruments, you can use it to prevent the "pop" when you change on a normal 1/4" cable. Other times, I just want to go acoustic for tuning or working out a fingering without interrupting another player. If you need to put your instrument down, you don't need to touch the amp to kill the feedback/hum. My only regret was buying the 90 degree end. It does not go into my telecaster's recessed jack. Perfect for my bass, though. Sometimes I will put one between the pedal board and my amp, allowing me to move pedals around without needing to turn off the amp. And because of the design, you can shorten it/cut out a damaged section and just reattach the end pieces where you need them. With how well this thing has aged, I don't think I'll ever need to buy another.

Have been using planet waves for 7 or 8 years now. I own 3 circuit breaker cables. First off.... I disagree with people that give this product poor reviews because of operator error. Basic Troubleshooting.. In is on, Out is Off. Second, I have also experienced these cables not staying in some of my more frequently played guitars. its not the cables fault.. open up the jack on your guitar, get some use needle nose pliers to slightly re bend the contact that touches the sleeve and cables won't fall out on their own anymore. This cable gives faithful signal reproduction without loss, and the switch is figuratively bulletproof. keep your packaging, because planet waves stands behind their product if it does fail, they will replace. Great product, Great company!!!

Like the heft/weight, cable quality, quick-disconnect works really well (and is momentary, so you don't forget you engaged the ground circuit to kill the hum...), and I did one little improvement for myself - I added a couple of strain-reliefs in the form of some shrink-wrap SummitLink® 410 Pcs Assorted Heat Shrink Tube 5 Colors 10 Sizes Tubing Wrap Sleeve Set Combo (the photo shows 14mm shrink tubing used, which is the tightest before shrinking to keep the cable portion as protected as possible) - it takes a bit of squeezing to get it over the (as others have noted) huge straight connector, but it works really well - on my amp, the input comes straight off the top, so the cable was always flopping to the side. Zero noise, very quiet, and does what it's supposed to for 1/2 the price of the Mogami's. (which is helpful if someone decides to help themselves after a gig.) The right-angle is quite big, so it may not work with an angled front Strat jack - the straight plug is 17mm diameter, too.

I bought the momentary kill switch version. The switch itself feels solid so far. I been doing buckethead style riffs here and there for six months without any problems. It is also very useful to prevent unwanted noises on stage.

I ordered this because I needed another extra cable for playing. The cable arrived in superb condition. The guitar cable's packaging was intact and was packed well in the box. Definitely worth the price I paid for considering it probably costs twice as much in the store. The circuit breaker is a great feature and is really useful whenever you want to go silent really quick. Very sturdy cable, almost hard to bend.

This was a great buy. I purchased 2 for my home. We have several instruments and sometimes change out during a session. I will definitely order more for the band room/ live performances. The circuit breaker button works flawlessly and the quality of the cord is top notch. . The price was a great value as well. I'm a big fan of Planet Waves cords. I have some of the other style instrument cords and speaker cables, too.

Noisy... I returned one due to my operational misunderstanding. I thought when you press the button it will stay mute and press again then it will unmute, when in reality you hold down the button to mute and release to unmute. I realized my misunderstanding once I received the replacement which btw is a huge star for the Amazon for their timely delivery. The reason I gave it one star is because it is noisy even during normal subtle movement, the construction looks solid but maybe the circuit breaker is not well thought out. It is so bad that I even use the straight end to the instrument to minimize movement on the right angle end but even that does little effect. The concept is solid I definitely have a use case for it, I have a passive K&K pure mini pickup that I don't have a volume knob that I thought having this kind of cable would be nice to have but not compromising usability. I have a two Mogami instrument cable so I know what good quality cable should behave but every instrument cable should not have those noise and crackling noise that is just bad for live setup. D'Addario, I hope it is not too much to ask, I would like a replacement cable with no circuit breaker please.

Excellent sound quality. Cancels all other Hum in the guitar. Perfect for stage performances.

L'interruttore si blocca nella posizione di esclusione del suono e questo permette di sostituire la chitarra o di accordare con un accordatore a clip.

Cabo muito competente. O botão de corte é muito útil para trocas de instrumentos. O sistema de ligação, sem soldaduras, reduz muito a probabilidade de criar ruídos com o passar do tempo, quando a soldadura se começa a danificar. São os cabos mais fiáveis que utilizo.
