Neck and neck with the same Troy design
I have both varieties, the Midwest Industries and the Troy Industries HK style fixed front sight mount. To be blunt, both of them are rugged enough to be used as a weapon. Both front sights are solidly built, with accurate adjustment of the post and a well made detent to keep the post where you set it. The Midwest is usually quite a bit less expensive depending on what demand is like. You can't go wrong with either. I pair the front sight with either a Daniel Defense fixed rear mount or a steel type BUIS rear sight by Mag-Pul or other reputable manufacturer.

Sturdy little guy
Some minor scuffs out of packaging, but it seems like a solid sight. I think it'll do fine

Excellent quality lightweight front sight
Lightweight and smaller than expected. Well machined

Great sight but the screw is a bit of a pain
The sight works really well once installed. Had no problems getting a chevron front post into it and there is plenty of range to adjust it. Pretty much what you would expect and the price is right. My only problem with it is the installation screw. Tightening it down to the required torque is hard to do without stripping it in the process. A little black paint fixes up the look of the screw and removing it should not be a problem, but reinstalling it with the same screw after that is not going to happen.

Cross bolt issues
This sight is nearly perfect. The only big drawback is it uses a flat head cross bolt. You're supposed to torque this to 35 in-lbs but the groove is shallow and you'll slip often which damages the bolt face and makes slipping more likely after each slip. The result is that it's very difficult to tighten to the recommended specs. I was lucky enough to have a spare hex head cross bolt around that I used because the included bolt is nearly worthless. Beyond that the sight is great.
