Star Signs For Kids

My niece loved this

Took a chance on this book with little description and one review and I’m glad I did! This book is well designed, cute graphics and laid out attractively. I admit I was worried it would be like some amazon books with pages off center and/or misspelled words but I have read through this already and I saw none of that. I got this for my 1st grader who has taken a sudden interest in astrology and keeps reading my astrology book. I really wanted to find something geared towards kids and this is perfect! We literally just got this and she was very excited to read it right away. So far its taken her about half an hour and she’s about half way through it and still interested! There are advanced words for a 1st grader (like “ambitious”, “jealous”, “emotional”) and so I’d say it may be more a 3rd grade reading level. However, my child so far can read this book as long as I look and tell her what those bigger words are. The book is helpful in that it also offers a definition for some of these big words, I think this is great! The information for each sun sign seems accurate to what I know of astrology. The signs and elements and constellations all appear accurate. The information is positive and child appropriate (no violent reference exc.). The art is very cute and creative but my only drawback on this entire book, is that every sign’s character is depicted with light skin. I strongly believe representation matters and as a children’s books, I truly hope the authors and illustrators take this into consideration for future work. Us consumers like, want and appreciate representation for all skin tones.

I bought this for my nine year old who is very interested in astrology right now. Unfortunately this book is very short and only has about one page per sign. This would be more appropriate for a younger child I suppose but my daughter only became interested in astrology this year. Was hoping for more.

My 9 year old daughter loves this book. It is informative and age appropriate.

Bought this for my 8 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. The illustrations are beautiful and it's easy to read.

Little over priced for a big that size. Not many pages but explains the basics and I’m sure my little girl who is very much in to her star signs etc now will enjoy it.
