Great, better than fitbit
Had two fitbits previously but now my phone is not supported by their app so I bought this.Very pretty watch for a start, easy to use.I found the app far better than fitbit, mainly because you don't have to pay to expand the data you want to see!I can see in depth my sleep patterns with no added cost. The tracker seems to be accurate. The only downside to this tracker is the battery life, its not great.I have to charge it probably every three days, its not the end of the world though.

Great appearance but a bit of a let down
I wanted a watch that didn’t look like your standard smart watch/fitness watch so this ticked the boxes. In terms of functionality it’s a bit hit or miss. The floor count is way off. I’ve spent the day running up and down the stairs doing housework and it’s only counted 1 flight. Other days it tells me I’ve got 16 by the time I reach work despite most of the morning being sat on a train. The sleep tracker and heart rate monitor have proved useful and it’s helped me see where I need to adjust my schedule.Like others, it has a tendency to cause irritation on my wrist and it needs regularly cleaned or the strap starts to smell. Also as the watch body doesn’t match the bevel, but instead matches the strap, it’s not really good aesthetic wise to buy a different strap. Battery life isn’t great but it charges in around half an hour so can’t really complain. For just a casual watch for those wanting to monitor their daily activity this is great and I’d recommend. For those wanting more accurate tracking info I’d suggest doing more research in to other watches.Edit - one and a half years after purchase and the screen is failing - see last photo. It’s like an advert for tunnel vision as the blurry sides edge closer to the centre. Soon I won’t be able to read the digital display which renders the watch useless for activity tracking as you can’t start an activity if you can’t see the onscreen menu. Update - I contacted garmin who replaced the whole watch, brilliant customer service.

This has really helped with pacing activity during Long Covid recovery
I have Long Covid and I'm struggling with debilitating fatigue. A Long Covid facebook group highly recommends these gadgets by Garmin and I'm so pleased I took the plunge. I love how the app shows you your energy levels in the body battery. You can see how well you slept and the affect on your battery of your activities. Stress also really depletes your battery. It has been really helpful in terms of pacing and seeing how what I am doing is affecting my energy levels. You can also see which activities put you into complete rest during the day and fills up your battery a bit. I can use the heart rate monitor to ensure my heart beat doesn't go too high when climbing the stairs. And not only that, it looks really pretty and I can finally see the time without needing glasses! Brilliant and worth every penny.

LOVE THIS WATCH!
I went from the Fitbit Charge 2 to this after much consideration and I am so happy that I did.Comparing the two, I would say that:Advantages:+So much better looking!!!! Really does look lovely, has to be the most attractive smart watch I've seen.+Garmin app has loads more stats and details, great if you're a bit of a data nerd like me+Activity tracking including steps I believe is more accurate than Fitbit+Can also go for swims in it which feels so weird but it tracks distance etc. in it+You can also input your fitness/gym plan which I haven't done yet but is very cool!Disadvantages:-Sleep tracking is much more accurate on the Fitbit but Garmin does give an indication-The app may be a bit too complex/detailed for some people plus the device is a bit confusing to set up at first-The app doesn't always sync easily to the app but isn't major concern-A bit more difficult to swap the bandsOverall would hugely recommend this!!

Love it
I love my Garmin. It has a small digital panel that disappears under the clock face (I've always preferred the look of an analogue watch to a digital), giving all the info needed. Simple, easy to use, and really useful with fitness tracking. The only niggle is the sleep tracker has not been as accurate as I'd hoped.. it hasn't picked up on nights where I know woken up with my partner snoring (!!!) and not been able to get back to sleep for a while. The sleep tracker has then told me I've had 8+hours sleep?? But as a whole, I find this a really useful piece of kit, and love the rose gold/navy look, so winner in my book.

Battery issues
I purchased this watch as a gift for my wife. It spent a few weeks on the shelf before the date arrived to give it to her (post delivery of out little girl) initially the watch was set up and all was fine.My wife noticed the battery life was not too long (2 days max) and consulted with a friend who has the same watch, we thought it may be down to a lot of monitoring of vitals running concurrently and tried to alter settings but to no avail. As another week or 2 passed my wife was using the watch to track exercises etc. but the battery would just die randomly in the middle of them despite having been charged the night before, she would plug it back in and then have to realign hands via the app. Also any time the watch would be removed from wrist the battery would die or hands would need to be realigned again. All in all the watch is not operating properly, she no longer wears it and it's now basically a £200 paper weight. It cannot be returned as it's outside the 30day returns policy window and I am finding it very difficult to get this resolved.Watch bought on 17th sept 23, delivered 28th September 23, first opened mid October, last used early November 23.

2.5 years and still great
I ordered this watch 2.5 years ago and it still works great.Battery life: 4-5 days still after a few yearsFunctionality: Great. I have no problems reading my data between the watch and app. I read that the only main complaint was that the watch face time can get off- which is true. If my watch dies, it tends to slow and the watch face does get off- but that's the only time. So it's a minor flaw.Style: Great for casual and formal wearGlass: I ordered a glass cover for the watch face since day 1 just in case it gets damaged. So far so good!

Beautiful & functional
Don't care about all the apps & long term tracking & sleep. Wanted a watch that looks AMAZING, tracks my steps & heartrate, reminds me to move if I sit too long, and lets me know if I have a message on my phone. This does all that exceptionally well. It does a lot more that I don't really care about. I'd take away a quarter star if I could for the move reminder / phone alert "buzz". It is a very soft & brief vibration that is easy to miss if you are in my work environment. I'd like the vibration to be stronger & a smidge longer. Otherwise LOVE LOVE LOVE this hybrid.

Happy with this purchase
I got this as a gift for my husband. He said he wanted a smart watch but I didn't think he would really be that interested in it.. he actually really enjoys it. He likes checking his steps for the day and his sleep tracking. I thought it might be great for GPS when riding his motorcycle so he didn't have to look at his phone but he hasn't really tried that feature yet. I'm not sure how well that would work on a small screen. It's not perfect but pretty cool and he loves that it has the analog hands and looks like a regular watch. He is really hard on things and has a physical job and s always doing mechanic work and getting dirty and it has help up great for 2 months. Battery lasts for several days!
