Very thick, durable coating with radius ends & don’t get caught on pants
I started using transfer boards again because of torn AC joint and rotator cuff after 30+ years and have tried several of them. Most lower cost (cheaper) boards scratch and chip easy if dropped or jeans rivet gets hung up on them. My biggest issue with basic rectangular boards are that they get caught on my pant seams or pockets. This is very frustrating and can cause skin issues depending on how “hung up” you get during transfers. I resisted spending the extra money (approximately $20-$30) after finding the Reliance transfer board on Amazon but got so tired of struggling during transfers after buying several because how cheap the inexpensive ones are so I finally bought the 30” Reliance transfer board for my vehicle after deliberating for about 6-months. It arrived promptly within 2-3 days and the first thing I noticed was how thick, shiny & slick the coating was, the ends are rounded as well as tapered down gradually thinner over about 2-4”. Also liked the handle holes on both ends which make easy to handle even if poor hand dexterity. Very impressive and looked well built upon my inspection. After using the Reliance transfer board for a few weeks the rounded and tapered ends don’t get caught on clothing, the surface is slick & shiny to avoid shearing and has held up well with no chips or scratches. I was very impressed and continue to be after several months. In fact, I sent a message to manufacturer through Amazon after noticing the only size offered on Amazon was the 30” boardAnd I wanted 25-26” for around the house. The General Manager, Chris, replied to my email within a day or two and informed me they do make 25” boards and answered my questions while explaining the process of making the boards. Chris was more than willing to promptly send it to me without requesting payment in advance, which almost never happens In my recent experiences buying products online. it’s almost unheard of to have most items sent until payment is received and I appreciate that kind of trusting customer service. Not sure if that’s alway their process but well worth paying in advance if he requested that as well. Iwont use another rectangular transfer board again and plan to keep the contact information for Reliance Transfer Boards for future purchases and will passi along my experience & their contact info to friends & family. I guess the old saying is true-“you get what you pay for”. Don’t waste your money & time on any other transfer board!

Reliance transfer board 30", ergonomic hand slots
It is a beautifully made board we purchased to use with a handicapped family member. We actually didn't use it much because I should have purchased something shorter, like probably 24" but not longer than 27" for our needs. The finish on the wood is a bit slippery, so just a word of precaution. Also, both ends of the board have rounded edges, not straight across like some other boards, so if the user stands the board up to lean it against a wall or something, it doesn't take much for it to roll sideways onto the ground, and that might be of consideration if the user needs to retrieve it if no one is there to help.

Perfect design for efficient wheelchair transfers at home and in car
The Reliance Transfer 30” inch is perfect for transferring from a sofa or bed to a wheelchair with ease. Also, it is exceptionally crafted with a smooth surface and two handles that make transfers from the wheelchair to the car exceptionally pleasant - no extra tugging or fear of falling. I have used the cheaper plastic model on the market and find the Realiance Transfer Board superior in every instance. I recommend ithe wooden board design highly and applaud the company for its excellent product and service.

Nicely made but my mother didn't like it :(
First - I paid for this with my own money. I'm often left wondering after reading a long review only to find a disclaimer at the end that the reviewer received an item for free or at a major discount. Now, on with my review: I recently purchased this for my 87 year old mother (who uses a wheelchair and has difficulty transferring). She recently twisted her knee which made transfers even more difficult for her.I tried this twice: Once to move her from a wheelchair to her recliner and the other to move her from the wheelchair onto a shower stool.Fortunately her wheelchair arms are moveable so I was able to swing one side out of the way which made bridging the gap much easier. Unfortunately because the under-side of the board is slippery she found it difficult to trust even when I was helping her by holding the board in place. I understand the concept but know she wouldn't have the energy to try using it on her own. I did try adding a small piece of non-slip material (the type used under rugs) under both ends to anchor it better (which helped) but I couldn't permanently adhere it to the board as that would defeat the purpose of being able to slide it under someone. I kept the board for an "emergency" as it's really nicely made but ended up purchasing a "transfer bench" to use in the shower.

Best One Ever-Fantastic Buy
This has been such a great purchase & the rounded ends are so easy to use -as I read all reviews before I got it-worth every cent.It is so smooth & no grabbing clothes etc. The cut outs are perfect as well as the ridges along sides as they provide help with grip too.I would recommend to anyone needed to use this for their wheelchair. The rehab I was in took down the info on this board as so nicely made.

Great transfer board!
Great product. My husband transfers from his chair to the car, his bed, shower etc as a parapalegic. He loves the rounded corners. His pants don't get caught any more and the beveled rounded edges are less problematic on his wheelchair cushion and his air-release mattress. It's slippery, so be careful at first. But it makes the sliding a breeze. A winner! Love my Amazon shopping!

Board is high quality & very strong
Researched a lot for a transfer board for my mom, she had very limited mobility. This board is smooth, shiny & easy to glide. The length 30 inches is perfect to glide between bed to wheelchair, or wheelchair to recliner. I don't have to lift her as much, which is helping my back a lot.
