Fun story for imaginative children
This is a charming story that has withstood the test of time. We first read it to our son 40 years ago and now our Grandson is enjoying it too. Children love the antics of those naughty seagulls!!

Great for a project / theme.
Used with my small Kindergarten group as part of a light / dark topic. We incorporated art and science work, and even had a picnic with some of the foods in the story. A fun book!

The book looked fine and the grandchildren loved it.
The book came in great shape, but now that I see it as a paper back I still like having a hard bound addition

A terrific story
I got this book in Scotland last fall and my four year old son loves it. Mr. Grinling's wife packs his lunch in a basket and clips it on a wire that sends it from thier little white cottage to the light house on the rocks. Scavengiseagulls set upon the basket and devour Mr. Grinling's lunch. The Light houseKeeper and his wife think up ways to get rid of the gulls and save the basket of wonderful foods.
