My dad had these toys as a little boy
Got them for him last year (I forget if for fathers day or his bday) and he was absolutely delighted. I would give these a 5 star review if only for the glee on his face as he was transported back to his childhood. The only trouble is the manufacturing of these is not super high quality and some of the feet are not at right angles to the rest of the clown, making it difficult for the clown to stand up vertically, and making a true balance of multiple clowns much more challenging than they ought to be. If you are going to play with this toy that will indeed become frustrating.

Fun for office stress relief too
I bought this as a gag gift/office toy for a departing colleague. I had a similar set from another manufacturer that I leave out on my office table for folks to tinker with and relieve a little stress when they come by. They are always good for a "hey, look how I just got them to balance/stack" moment and a laugh.Of note, the pieces are actually large by comparison (~4-1/2" compare to ~3" of my other set) so ironically are likely even more kid friendly. You can easily turn this into a family fun game (or competition :-) ) while sitting around any table. Have fun!

Great toy!
Fantastic building set. Had these when I was young & was so glad to see they were still available. Used them in my preschool classroom & many students enjoyed them.

Love Bill Dings!
These are great! My older brother and I played with Bill Dings when we were little. I still have some of the originals. By the way, I am 73. I decided to look on Amazon and see if they were still around. I was really excited to find them and my twin grandchildren, age 6, love them. Getting them brings back lots of special memories too!

Kids love Bill!
We had Bill Ding for our kids and they loved it. My grandson loves to play with the ones at my house. But I got him the deluxe set for Christmas for more of a challenge. Also over the years mine have gotten a bit beat up.I will say however that the box for Bill Ding was not in great shape. It looked like it had been opened and the front was roughed up and bent. I would have preferred that it looked a bit nicer since it will be a gift, but I think that Bill Ding is probably fine.

They are still fun to stack and play with
I bought these for my 2 year old son, but these are not the same quality as the ones I played with as a kid at my grandmothers house. These are MDF, not solid wood. Where it used to say solid wood on the box has been lined out with a marker. First play session numerous paint chips fell off. Second play session some the shoulders broke off in addition to the snowstorm of paint chips. They are still fun to stack and play with, but the quality is very low.

Paint and wood chips
Like that they are the same Bill Dings my husband played with years ago, but the paint and wood chips off. I purchased for our grandsons to play with since they love playing with their grand dads and we needed to add to his old collection. I hate that the first time the boys built with them they looked like we had had them for a few years. Not good quality.

Paint chips off......
The kids love these Bill Dings BUT they are NOT wooden like the older ones are. I actually have a set from when I was a kid and I'm 62 now and can compare the two sets. The paint does chip off on these when they fall. However my grandkids love them BUT they are overpriced for what you get.
