Tangling with the Mob, you think even Parker can't wind up on top. Read on...Stark writes so tough, you wonder how other people get away with selling small talk as tough talk. Compare with Chandler, and Chandler is mostly chat.

Usual excitement and difficult-to-put down element, but the large invincible criminal organisation too easily defeated. Surely the head-man figure would be better guarded and his premises better fitted with alarms etc?

Lived up to expectations.

After seeing the Parker movie, I decided to get the first Parker novel and had soon finished the first 4 by the end of my 2 weeks holiday in the sun!

More top notch Parker.
