I love this brand of ice packs, I have the large the XL and the shoulder. My original one was the Large I have had for 3 years, works wonders stays cold for back pain, flat so you can lay on it, no weird smells, the fit is okay for upper and middle back, does not reach shoulders very well but will work great for the back. The XL doesn’t get as cold, it takes longer to freeze in the freezer and loses it coldness faster than the large and shoulder however it reaches the most amount of areas, can cool my shoulders upper back and middle back when used sideways. Can also be used long ways for whole back relief which is amzing, this works well for rotating out ice packs constantly for pain relief and inflammation. It also numbs the areas well. The shoulder ice pack gets the shoulders and works well for that. does not reach any other areas besides the neck a bit. When I need shoulder pain relief only this is amazing and can be manipulated easily to fit many areas. Did not get the bands almost wish I did. I am thinking of buying bands because it would be nice bonus but didn’t want to spend the money. Easy to use. The shoulder ice pack is lighter than the others and easy to transport. It stays cold for an okay amount of time maybe 30 minutes tops.

I'm so glad I purchased these ice packs for after my hip surgery! I had hip labrum repair/FAI surgery and these were the absolute perfect ice packs for afterwards. I got a large, half size, and the neck wrap- all with straps. Straps are key!! I got the neck wrap one bc it was the perfect design to be able to go around the entire hip and groin area! It was absolute perfection and worked just the way I hoped it would!!! I also had a lot of pain on the top and side of my hip and thigh so I was able to place the large and half size packs exactly where I needed them as well! I posted pics so you can see how having the straps allowed me to place the packs all around my hip and leg so well! Bc they are lined it was great to be able to do my first 20 mins lined side down, take off for 20 mins (placed on a towel on the bed next to me- did not have to be placed back in the freezer), and then I turned them around and placed the non-lined side down on me for the next 20 mins and they were still very cold!!! They are super easy to use once you have them near you and they are definitely heavy duty and seem like they will last a long time. Cons: You WILL need to lay a towel down under any part that will be on your bed/couch etc, bc they do get frosty and eventually wet/sweaty on the outside during the first icing. And place a towel over the top of them if you put a blanket over you. They are heavy! I've been non weight bearing on crutches for the past few weeks so it makes it difficult for me to take them in/out of the freezer to the room myself, however, I did put them in a grocery bag to make it easier to get them in and out and to carry them with crutches. BUT it is not easy to carry the 3 packs with crutches, you have to be coordinated to do it, but it can be done. So there is that. I added pics so you can see how awesome they are to mold to you exactly how you need them. I would absolutely buy these again every time. I wish I had these before my surgery! I play hockey and these will for sure be used a lot in the future! The pros outweigh the cons and I highly recommend these!

I have used this everyday for a week and have found it to be extremely helpful and effective. It stays cool for 1.5 hours and is large enough to cover most of my neck and shoulders. The fabric is high quality. The gel can be distributed around the pack with your hands when the pack is room temperature. I do wish the front pieces weighed more to keep it from falling backwards.

Excellent coverage and flexibility. It stays cold for a long time and wraps comfortably around the neck and shoulders. Great for soreness, headaches, or post-workout recovery. The material feels durable and doesn’t leak. A very practical and well-designed ice pack.

This cold pack is amazing! I have severe arthritis, degenerative disc disease (spondyosis, stenosis and herniated discs in my cervical spine), and rely on ice packs to help manage my debilitating chronic pain and and migraines. I’ve used several different flexible ice packs, and this one is definitely the best! So, here’s why: It stays colder MUCH longer than the neck wraps made by Elasto-gel, and is longer to wrap around my shoulders. The gel is a bit squishy once it begins to warm up, so I can lightly squeeze the ice pack to redistribute the gel where I want it most. The covering is well constructed, and although it isn’t soft like the Elasto-gel’s Lycra cover, it isn’t uncomfortable or stiff to wrap around my neck, even without using a towel or cloth (I know it’s safer for the skin to use a towel, but I need an ice pack to be as COLD as possible!). I have sensitive skin, and after using for several days now, I’m impressed- This ice pack isn’t scratchy, doesn’t stick to my skin, contains no latex, and hasn’t caused any irritation at all. I also use a cervical roll shaped ice pack made by Elasto-gel, which stays cold a little longer than anything else, but ultimately, I wouldn’t purchase it again. The cervical roll ice pack has become permanently sticky after a couple years of regular daily use. The elasto-gel packs MUST be kept dry in the freezer, inside a sturdy ziplock type bag, and as careful as I’ve been, the slightest accidental exposure to moisture inside the freezer results in a sticky/gooey feel on the ice pack that I can’t figure out how to remove, no matter what I try. It just keeps coming back, and it feels really unpleasant and “wet.” I also use flexible clay filled cold/heat packs from ThermiPaq, which are nice, but they just don’t stay cold for very long. I’ve also not been impressed with the Velcro closure on the ThermiPaq’s fabric covers- I own 4 of these, and the 2 newest ones, purchased in the last year, don’t seem to be as well made as the ones I’ve had for 10 years. I will say that the older ice packs have held up remarkably well... but I needed another one, and wanted something that would get super cold and stay that way! The FlexiKold meets that need perfectly! Cons? While this ice pack doesn’t have the fabric cover with Velcro to help secure it around your neck (like the Elasto-Gel and ThermiPaq ones) I don’t really think these Velcro straps are all that comfortable to wear, so it’s not really a problem for me. Also, the Flexi-Kold is only for cold use, and cannot be microwaved like the ThermiPaq can, but I don’t really need hot packs, anyway. This ice pack chills much more quickly (just a couple hours to cold, several hours to get it SUPER cold), it is comfortable, flexible, seems like it will hold up much better, and is larger than my other ones. If anything changes, I will update my review, but I have to say that I wish I could trade the other ones I have for another FlexiKold neck cold pack! I will probably purchase a couple of the knee-sized Flexi-Kold packs soon, as well, since I also use on my knees multiple times per day. I purchased this item at full price, and received no discount or other consideration for my review. I find reviews to be helpful to me, so I hope my review is helpful to you, as well!

My standard, large sized rectangular version of this pack split open (after years of use) so I needed a replacement. I saw this and thought it would be perfect for me, as I need it most for my upper back and neck and wrapped around onto my shoulders and neck. However, it is pretty stiff and doesn't wrap well around my neck. It won't really contact the sides of my neck unless I grasp both end and hold it tight around, which means I can't just relax with it on. Kinda defeats the purpose of the design, for that specific use. I'm returning it and buying the one I had before, which performs the same function and covers more area. Nice concept though! I'm sure it works for other applications, just not the one I needed it for. I do love this brand of ice pack in general.

If you can migraines it's worth paying for one of these. Good quality. I wrap it over my shoulders, put it under my pillow and then flip the pillow to cool down my face when sleeping, lie on my front and put it on my back. Lots of uses. Stays cool for a long time.

its a good quality ice pack and good size, it just needs a strap on it so you can secure it so it doesnt slide off

Fits well and stays flexible, video shows straight from the freezer after a 12 hour freezing over night but it does need to defrost a little to contour properly and be comfortable.

Works great for me as a cold pack for my neck and back. I wish it had a strap to secure it in place while it's on your body otherwise I hold it in place with my hand while I am sitting down. I am very pleased with it otherwise. It is nice and big and covers a large area.
