A very decent sampler pack.
For those of you who are just starting out in the safety-razor world, this is a great buy. My personal favorites are the Bluebird, followed closely by Feather, Treet and Trig. Vidyut and all of the Gillette/Nacet blades are worthless, but it's worth the price of admission for just those four brands (though I wouldn't have known that without buying the pack in the first place!) My beard's a bit on the rough side so keep that in mind. My personal recommendation would be to just buy a pack of Bluebirds or Feathers (or even Treet/Trig if you're on a budget--their stainless is phenomenally cost-effective), but if you want to try them all out, you're getting a great deal here.

Great for new DE shavers
I can't honestly say that I've used every blade in this yet, but it is a wonderful set! My bf and I both have DE razors, so I gave him half and took the other half for me. We've both slowly been working out way through and figuring out which blades we like and don't like. I was surprised I HATED some of the ones I thought I would like! So far I love the Derby, Nacet, and Bluebird.I'd say it's a great value for someone new to DE shaving, especially if there are two of you in a household. It only takes one use of each kind of blade to know if you will like it. And ladies, from a woman who started using a DE razor for shaving her legs, buy one and get these razors! You won't regret it and you'll save a ton of money!

Found 2 Blades out of the Assortment that worked for me
I bought this sampler pack and tried them all out in my various razors. Vintage Gillettes, Fatboy, Slim, Redtip. Merkur Slant Bar to name a few. I used Proraso Shave Cream and various shave brushes. The best blade in the pack was hands down the Feather Double Edge Blade, 2nd best Astra, 3rd Gillette Nacet. The rest of the blades just didn't hold up to more than a couple of shaves for me.I must stress than every man's beard is different. I have a pretty coarse beard/ whiskers. You may have a light beard/whiskers and can shave with any razor blade just fine. Many men have sensitive skin, some may have skin like an alligator and don't even need shave cream. This review is just my experience with the blades in the pack.I have read many reviews on the feather blades and you hear all these horror stories about butchering your face. In my opinion this is not true. I have never cut nor butchered my face using Feather Double Edge Blades and this is the blade I use everyday. You want the sharpest blade possible to shear your whiskers off and not be pulled out by the root by a dull blade.Think of it this way with your lawn mower you want a sharp blade to cut the grass. A sharp blades cleanly cuts the blade of grass and the blade of grass is able to heal itself and you have a nice looking lawn. If you use a dull mower blade it wants to rip the blade of grass out by its root or beats the top edge of the grass leaving a half dead looking lawn. Your Whiskers and Face are just the same. Sharp Blade Equals Smooth Shave and No Razor Burn.I can put a Feather Double Edge Razor Blade into any of my Razors and get a BBS every time and they last about 6 to 8 shaves and no razor burn, no ingrown hairs. For me the Feather Blades are more cost effective as they last longer than other cheaper blades I have tried. These blades are made in Japan and are known for there sharpness.Guys that are just getting into wet double edge razor shaving I would suggest buying an adjustable razor and a pack of feather blades. This way you can adjust the razor to a less aggressive setting starting out and then keep dialing up the aggressiveness of the razor and find the sweet spot that gives you the best shave. Then buy other razors that you like. Many are rated as mild to aggressive. This way you will have a good idea of how aggressive razor you can shave with. Many razors have a fixed head and you need to know how aggressive a razor your face can handle. You can buy a ton of different blades but if you don't have the right razor swapping out a hundred different blades isn't going to get you that BBS shave you are looking for.Save your money on buying a bunch of different blades. Buy a good adjustable razor and a pack of Feather Double Edge BladesFace preparation, shaving cream, soap, shaving brush also play an important part in getting a smooth shave with no razor burn.Keep in mind this is just one guys experience and your experience may vary.

Good Selection
This pack comes with a pretty good selection for the price. The Feather, Bluebird, Astra and Derby blades seem to be pretty well regarded on Amazon. In this set, you get two blades of each brand.I give it four stars: the product is just as advertised, but if they included, say, Merkur or other major brands in lieu of the lesser known ones, it would be an even better selection. They also double up on the Astras and Supermax, giving you a platinum and stainless variant of each brand.
