Excellent customer service
The car is what you could expect from the Quadro range, an excellent piece of hardware with very good performances with professional applications. If you are only after casual 3D modeling or for gaming, it is better (less expensive) to look for a GTX 580, however for professional use this is an outstanding product.I also give 5 star because of the Amazon service : it happened to me that a wrong board was sent the first time : I was obviously disappointed and sent a claim to Amazon. To my amazement, in less than 24 hours they acknowledged it and sent over a new board (on December 24th) without asking a single question. I can honestly say I never experienced an aftersales service like this.

Problematic
I got this item for a workstation. However it overheated and crashed the machine in the initials.I sent it back to PNY which I must say had very good customer service. However when I received the replacement it did not operate AutoCAD with the performance I got from a generic 3d fx gaming card. From what i gathered it was due to the shear size of our drawing and data on it that it operated rather laggy as it tried to regenerate the drawing accurately for any zoom, pan or rotation. We eventually went back to the original gaming graphics card which operated much more smoothly.

a bit dodgy
on first startup the fan rubs on the surrounding shroud, takes surrounding shroud off... ok fixed.even though it has 2x DP 1. 2 connectors you can only really use one at a time.yes it supports up to 2560x1600 on 2x screens thru the DP chaining feature but that is really the monitor just passing thru the signal. so if you think you can just run 2x DP cables one to each in a pair of monitors your not going to get an extended desktop.you can however run one DP cable and one DVI cable and get an extended desktop on 2x screens @ 2560x1600it maybe possible to run 2x DP cables and get an extended desktop but finding support for this card is impossible. there might have been special drivers at one time but that seems to be lost in the mists of the past.all in all... it's a marginally ok experience. Resolve does run ok'ish just pretty slow but this was not a surprise. Unless you have a very specific use case don't waste your money on this card, I did... thinking I was going to get maybe a useable setup.

Didn't come with everything in the description.
GPU came by itself with no other adapters that were said to come with it in the description. GPU was slightly bent so I had to bend it back to fit in my case. Otherwise it works well.

Replacement for HP Z800 workstation original NVIDIA Quadro 5000 card for video editing
I bought a refurbished HP Z800 for the primary purpose of video editing using Adobe Premier CC. 48 GB DDR3 2x Intel Xeon Six Core E5645 2.4 GHz. My (original) NVIDIA Quadro 5000 video card failed after a couple of years. Bought two of these identical replacement cards (they work together) to increase video file rendering and exporting efficiency. Enables the use of Adobe Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA). Noticeable difference in performance using two. Easy installation on the modular Z800.

Great Video Card
I recently replaced another brand video card, which was recommended by a college professor, and the difference is amassing.Using all the same components that I was using with the other brand video card, I can now see individual hairs and count bladesof grass!

One Star
Only because specs did not specify that an additional power supply was required.

NVIDIA Quadro 5000 by PNY 2GB GDDR5
Nice looking unit, but it does not do $1,700 worth of work. I think a $700 Nvidia Graphics card would do just a good, as far as anybody could actually detect while rendering, or working in architectural design software. If you are doing video editing, an Nvidia GPU is a must, but try one of the less expensive models.
