Just What We Needed
This fridge is exactly what we needed for our media room. We wanted to store both beer and wine, but have a small fridge. This has a shelf that can be adjusted and slid back to make room for wine bottles in the front (like in the video in the product pics). This was the only fridge we could find that held this much booze and still fit the 17.5" wide space we had for it. Turns out this was a great choice. It works well and looks great. I have been running it for two days at different settings with an accurate digital thermometer in it. Turned all the way up to 5 (on a 0-5 dial), it got to 37.6 degrees, at 4 it ran at 40-41 degrees. It is very quiet. It gets warm, but not hot, on the lower sides and not warm at all in back. One note though - the height from bottom of foot to top of hinge cover is slightly higher than the listing says, at 20". I know, just a quarter inch higher than listed, but made a difference for us. We had to remove the plastic hinge cover to fit it under a shelf. Good thing the hinge itself has a quality stainless steel look and looks fine without the cover. All in all, a great little fridge. Hope it holds up!

Near silent and it gets cold enough to freeze drinks
This thing runs near silent, it keeps my drinks really cold some of which if I have them right up against the back will be frozen, and once it's done chilling everything for the first time it will shut off and start to cycle and you'll barely notice it even run. Go new air! ***Update 2/21/2024*** So far nothing exiting to report, this fridge is pretty quiet, very efficient, and gets cold enough to freeze and explode cans of soda that are kept at the back if you don't drink them regularly. This would do great as a mini countertop display fridge at a business, but it is small enough that someone who wants a minifridge could fit this into they're bed room or gaming room. I learned that during a cooling cycle that the sides of the fridge will get uncomfortably hot to the touch, and there is no condensing coil on the back as with most refrigerators. You do not need to leave the space at the back for the condenser to cool of the fridge, but you can't use this model for built in (like under a counter like a dishwasher) uses, it must be left free standing so it can breathe.

Would puchase again
Pros: sturdy construction, keeps to 40 degrees most of the time, quiet and OK to keep in Den (would not keep in bedroom as there is some clicking noise about twice a day for a few minutes) Cons: Was not totally reliable to keep to 40 degrees, had to defrost a small amount of ice off of back of inside of unit after 3 months. It is working well after the defrost. I use this to store overflow veggies when I run out of room in my big fridge. This little unit can be 35 degrees top/back shelf, 40 degrees top front shelf and 43 degrees bottom shelf all at the same time. It got a little ice in the back after 3 months and as a result would only cool to 50 degrees on top and bottom shelf. I turned it off and defrosted it, which took a few hours. It is working fine now. I hope this was just a one time thing and it will work ok going forward. It does the job I needed it for. I am happy with it and would purchase it again.

Amazing little fridge!
This little guy is great! I wouldn’t recommend putting it on the floor. It was a bit too low. It’s quiet. It fits a lot surprisingly. It gets VERY COLD! It will freeze cans on the top shelf. I’d suggest putting beer bottles up there; it makes them frosty and amazing. A great addition to our bar. It’s slick looking. No, the light doesn’t automatically go on and off; it’s manual, but that’s fine. We leave it on every night as a nightlight in the dining room area. The stand, if anyone is interested, is a water heater stand here on Amazon for $30. It holds it great!

So far so good!!
Had this fridge a few months now and haven’t had any problems. I’m using strictly for beverages. They stay nice and cold. You can hear it running, but it’s not obnoxious or anything. I am a bit disappointed the light has be turned off and on manually, but not a deal breaker. Also if you considering this model keep in mind it vents from the back so if you want it in a cabinet you will have to keep it ventilated in the back. I cut the panel out of back of my mini bar I have, and pulled the whole thing an inch from the wall. Also the fridge sits in the cabinet about 2 inches in. This gives it plenty of ventilation. However the manufacturer recommended only 2 inches clearance at the back. I do recommend this unit. Update 12/28/23 Haven’t had many issues at all. It’s been a good little fridge. Get little frozen drops of water on the top and can freeze top shelf items a little. Has a little liquid from condensation on bottom shelf. Other than that, it’s worked perfectly well.

Inconsistent temperature
This fridge is located in my climate controlled workshop. I certainly didn't need a fancy glass front, but the can capacity over a traditional mini fridge is significantly higher which is why I bought it. My only gripe with this fridge is the temperature is incredibly inconsistent. I have the fridge set to its coldest temp at 7. My digital thermometer on the top shelf has read as low as 28F and as high as 52F. Unlike some other reviews, I haven't had any issues with cans freezing. I keep the cans towards the front of the shelf which leaves maybe 3/4" space between the back can and the rear wall. The lower wire guard is removable without damage despite the answer to the question from the the manufacturer. The ends of the guard insert into two holes on each side of the fridge. It has enough flex to bend and pop out without causing any damage. There are no issues with putting it back in either. This allows bottles to lay flat on the bottom and still be easily accessible. My first fridge arrived damaged beyond use with the mount for the compressor and drip pan broken. Amazon wanted to ship a replacement and have me keep the damaged fridge. It was too large to dispose of without additional fees from our trash collectors. After a bit of struggling with Amazon's customer service they did eventually pick up the damaged unit.

Convenient height and aesthetically nice, BUT Fatally flawed
I purchased this fridge back in October 2023, from Amazon. I love the clean commercial/utilitarian sort of design—but the main reason I spent a premium on this fridge vs alternatives (it's 3x the cost!), is that it fits super nicely underneath my office desk. How are there not more fridges out there that fit under a standard desk height?? Fast forward to 1 week ago (May 2026), the compressor completely stopped working. The fridge gets power, the interior light turns off and on—but no noise, no cooling. I'm not sure I've ever owned a mini fridge that has simply stopped work, especially in less than 3 years. I have a no-name mini fridge in the other room that I've owned in the same office for exactly 10 years and its running like a champ (and it gets much colder btw too). Failures happen, and it's unfortunate. It's particularly disappointing given the ultra premium price point. BUT I'm not even going to dock the rating because of that... I decided this was a 1-star purchase when I did my research in response to this issue. Newairs are known for failing. There are countless forum posts, Reddits, etc about this exact same issue. So the issue is clearly very common. A common fix for failed mini fridges is the relay switch, which is a simple $10 part that clips on and off of the harness attached to the compressor. New air's fridge is built like 99% of other mini fridges—EXCEPT, they cover the components with an unremovable housing so that you can't access the relay switch. In order to access it, you would have to manually cut off this housing, risking ruining the fridge permanently. And their switch is proprietary to Newair, so you'd have to buy it directly from them (likely far more expensive). I talked to NewAir's customer support for quite a while to see if there were any options available to me. There weren't. You can only get a refund (minus shipping!) if you return a defective fridge within 30 days. Or you would have had to buy their extended warranty up front. I didnt. I've never owned a fridge that couldnt run for decades... so I thought it was a safe bet. Not with Newair...

Sleek Fridge, looks and works as expected
This was the only glass door beverage fridge I could find that had the height requirement needed. It has a sleek design and nice LED light for display. This fridge is not meant to be built in, but works great in the existing hutch it needed to sit in. There is approx 1” of space behind the fridge, and breathing room on each side but still chills fine. I do not have it set to the lowest setting (set on 6) and have approx 70 cans in the fridge. They are all cold, but not as cold as a conventional fridge set to 38-40F. I would recommend and plan to try the lowest temp setting soon.

Not cool !!

If I could remove stars I would
I purchased the product in late January of 2021 it broke in eight months. By far the worst product I have ever seen for $300. At this price for the quality, you get your money is better off being burned. Support was not helpful at all and several other people have the same issue. Please, never buy this product it is horrid.
