should i continue cleaning my piercing with saline solution as well or just use the oil?

You should keep soaking your piercing with saline - this is not a replacement for cleaning with saline!  After you soak and pat the piercing dry, then apply a tiny bit of the oil to your piercing bump (keloid).  Also - make sure your jewelry is titanium, as all other metals (including gold and stainless steel) will leach a bit of nickel, causing irritation.  Please be patient and keep taking care of the bump... it will eventually heal up and shrink!  Blessings and I hope this helps you.

Does it still work if you’ve had the bump for a long time ?

I've been using it for awhile on a bump I've had for over a year. It does take time, depending on the size of the bump as well. But if you use it three times a day you definitely see results quickly. It always sooths the discomfort for me!

I recently got my septum pierced, (3-4 weeks ago,) and there’s bumps on both sides. Will this at least help shrink them?

Hi Kira,  It sounds like you might need several things....  First, make sure your new jewelry is TITANIUM, as all other metals (including gold and stainless steel) leach nickel and cause redness, irritation, pus and bumps (keloids).  Second, you need a daily SALINE SOAK since this tissue is not yet healed after just 4 weeks.  (we make a very popular soak called Urban ReLeaf Piercing Solution).  And finally, yes, this oil treatment will help get the bumps under control and shrink them.  But  you MUST have the correct jewelry or it will continue to get worse.  The septum is very tricky... be extremely careful not to bump or move the jewelry, as the motion can really irritate the tissue.
