Razer went crazy with their names and confused everyone. So they went back to the original Razer Kracken name. This model has cool oval ear cups and an improved mic. I currently have a Razer Kraken 7.1 v1 and 7.1 v2. Gave the v1 to my wife and bought the new Razer Kraken 2019 for her to replace it. About 1 year ago I bought the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition with THX and returned it. The sound and the mic was horrible. The Razer Kracken 2019 uses this free software to simulate 7.1 surround https://www.razer.com/7.1-surround-sound . I should get my wife's new pair today. **Q: Is the headset cable a combo jack or two separate headphone and microphone jacks?** A: Both. A combo 3.5 mm jack is attached to the Razer Kraken. An extension splitter cable is also included, which provides full audio and mic access for platforms requiring separate audio input and mic input ports. **Q: Can I use these for ps4 and Xbox one s ??** A: Yes, Razer Kraken will plug into the 3.5mm headphone jack on the PS4 controller and Xbox One S controller. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent value - you will not regret it! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 14 July 2023* For the price I've paid for this headset I am very happy. My usual daily headset I used for my PS5 was a Senheiser HD590, unfortunately they got damaged in the process of me moving house which made using them unreliable. After speaking to some friends who have this product, I took the dive and purchased this headset and needless to say I am very impressed with quality of the Razer Kraken. The sturdiness of the box ensures the headset has been protected during shipping. The sound quality of the headset is extremely good value considering the price. Now its no 300 pound headset, so there is some compromises you make such as not getting true noise cancelling that you would get in the Sony 1000-XM4, but you do get crisp clear sound, and the microphone is very good quality.I have read some comments saying that the headphones are on-ear headphones, I would argue they are over-ear due to the fact have relatively large sized ears (comes with the trade being 6ft2), and my ear length is around 8cm from the top to the bottom of the lobe, and my ears fits snuggly inside the headphone.Highly reccomend this headset regardless of which system you are on.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Mic *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 25 August 2023* I love the surround sound on this mic, I play a lot of CoD amongst other games and the direction is just so clear. The cooling gel in the ear phones really helps as I game for long periods and other mucs have made my ears and head feel really hot. It has a long lead from the controller which is great, but don't wander around catching it on doorknobs or it will affect the surround - hence why this is my second purchase! I recognise this as my fault though and have gone back for more because it's a really reasonably priced mic for such great quality ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Noise cancelling, light weight and comfortable *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 23 August 2024* This is a replacement pair and we ordered again as we were highly satisfied. The noice cancelling is great, noise quality really good, light weight and comfortable. Great price. Using them for a ps5. ## Frequently Bought Together - Razer Kraken Gaming Headset: Lightweight Aluminum Frame - Retractable Noise Isolating Microphone - for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, Mobile - 3.5 mm Headphone Jack - Black/Blue - Logitech C920x HD Pro Webcam, Full HD 1080p/30fps Video, Clear Audio, HD Light Correction, PC Camera Webcam, Works with Skype, Zoom, Facetime, PC, Laptop, Mac, Tablet - Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/153497280-razer-kraken-corded-gaming-headset-lightweight-aluminum-frame-retractable-noise](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/153497280-razer-kraken-corded-gaming-headset-lightweight-aluminum-frame-retractable-noise) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
