We bought a size medium for our 11 lb miniature poodle. He’s about 12 inches long from neck to his behind so he probably would’ve fit better in a size small. The hat strap was a little loose because I ordered a size too big but I easily shortened the elastic strap (scissors and some hand sewing) because I didn’t think it was worth exchanging. The actual body of the pumpkin is pretty big so there’s a lot of room for a larger sized dog but still fits more slim dogs without a problem.We were very impressed by the quality of the costume. The fabric is very nice and the costume comes with a liner and very nice velcro closure. We may end up buying some “stuffing” and sticking it between the outer fabric and liner to make him extra round but I think the costume is already great as is!I can’t wait to have him wear it for Halloween!

This is a really cute doggy Halloween costume. I ordered medium for my 22 lb Boston Terrier, Punkin, and it was almost too small, but medium was the biggest size available. He wasn't crazy about wearing it, especially the hat, but he looked adorable!! When it arrived, it smelled super awful, like plastic, but I machine washed it on gentle cycle and hung to dry and that got rid of the bad smell. It held up fine through the wash. I do recommend this item, just be aware of the small sizing.

I bought this to take pictures for my dog. This is the only dog costume hat that has stayed on. Not only that, but the rest of it was so comfortable that she wore it for the rest of the day! She usually tries to take them off, but she liked this one a lot. I would definitely recommend this product! It is great quality, cute, and beagle approved.

Seems like really good quality. It photographed really well. It is easy to take on and off. For size reference it was a little big on my 19 pound cat. I had to make the hat straps a bit smaller to stay on his head. Would def recommend this pet costume!

One of the best quality pet costume's I've ever purchased. It runs a little big, but that just made it more comfortable for my pup. The only thing it's lacking is a hole for a harness & leash.

When I received it, I opened it and put it on darling. It's so beautiful, I love it so much, I've recommended it to my friends, and I'll buy it for them if I need it later.

Very cute costume! My dog did gain some weight between the purchase and Halloween, but it still looks cute even if you can’t Velcro it around the middle.

My dog really likes the taste of pumpkin and so we decided to name her it and then also buy her a costume to match her new identity. The costume is perfect and is great for occasions like birthdays, Halloween and Christmas. I would rate this higher if I could!
