Q: What is the difference betwee the Fluid Master Flush and Sparkle 8100 and 8300P8 models?

8300 is bleach only. The description for 8100 blue cartridge says that in addition to the bleach, it is a Surfactant-based cleaning agent which reduces spread of viruses and bacteria. The 8200 green cartridge is for septic tanks where bleach shouldn't be used.

The housing unit in most cases is located above the water line however it can be partially submerged. It's fine. We use bleach in way higher quantity in the washing machine with no issues. Your septic tank is a few hundred gallons of poo. That little amount will do nothing.

It does not matter. The cartridge gets water directly from the toilet float valve. There are two tubes to the cartridge system, input and output, water is pushed into the cartridge system circles around the cleaning tablet and out through the output line into the flapper and to the toilet bowl.
