**Q: Temperature rating**
A: This is ducting, not for anything hotter than your dryer vent. Will work well for residential ducting.

**Q: What is the highest temperature that this can withstand? I am looking at hooking it to an industrial ink dryer where the temp can be continuous 550+**
A: For that application, I wouldn't even advise Type B double-wall gas vent pipe. Contact Selkirk (by Duravent) or do a web search for the website, and take a look at their all stainless steel wood stove (et cetera) chimney/exhaust pipe. It's multiple-walled, HEAVY duty pipe that is rated for continuous high temperature applications, and might just outlive you. Another brand is Metal-Fab Type L Vent Pipe for Oil Burning Appliances. Unlike the Selkirk stuff, I do not have any personal experience with this brand, but it's also rated for the temperatures you're working with (570F constant, with a 10-minute 1,700F safety "over-fire"). These types/brands of products not only hold up well to continuous high-temperature flow, they also (when installed/used properly) help protect the surrounding materials from the heat.

**Q: Can the hose withstand negative 30 degree temperatures? I would like to have this go out the window.**
A: I don't see it being a problem at all. It should be able to be pretty much water resistant to a point. Just remember if you start moving it back and forth and water is allowed to freeze you can rip it apart.

**Q: Can you connect this to another length of ducting if you need to extend it?**
A: Yes it’s just like any other duct should work great 😊

We only needed 4 feet of hvac ducting after a remodel. We needed to attach to an existing 6 inch duct. This product did the job. The accordion style tubing allowed us to extend just what we needed. It fit tightly over the duct boot. Maybe a little too tight but it worked great. A lot cheaper than buying the minimum 25 foot lengths in the big box stores
