Flying Fisherman Cove Polarized Sunglasses with 100% UV Protection

I rarely give 5 stars, but this was between a 4.5 and 5, so I rounded up. I have put these through some tough times. The only times they have really scratched is when they took a significant fall across some asphalt and the other was the tip of a tree branch head on (thank God I was wearing these!). They are durable, they haven't changed the way they feel/fit at all, or at least I haven't noticed it. They stay on my head snugly, but I can wear them for long periods of time without noticing a great deal of pressure. I have a Normal or medium/small head for reference. I am the hardest person on glasses, but my eyes are super light sensitive. I had to have the Polarized lenses, and they are so with the price. I chose the amber because I need glasses even on cloudy days, but don't want it to be too dark and these have suited me just fine. I bet they will be wonderful for when the sun is reflecting off the snow. I can't afford to buy expensive glasses because there is a possibility of me breaking them within the first week, so these were a no brainer. And lets be honest, these are still pretty cheap, but they are the same quality as glasses in the $40 - $100 range. I just won't feel as bad when I actually do completely break these, because I can buy another couple pairs and it will be the same price as glasses in the lower luxury range.

I really like these sunglasses, especially for fishing. As you can see in the pictures I have several pairs. I think I have bought 7or 8 over the last few years. I use them every day for normal sunglasses. I have a few extra pair on the boat so when I take family or friends fishing they can use them because they are polarized and work great when it comes to seeing fish in the water. The clear with blue lenses work great in salt water and the brown lenses work better in freshwater. The only issue that I have with these glasses is the lenses start to the delaminate and get spots on them after a while. It only happens when we wear them in the ocean water and they get wet. I highly recommend these glasses because they are 1/8 of the price of expensive glasses. I like the fact that if they break, I throw them away and buy another pair. My investment is still less than one pair of expensive sunglasses. I hope this helps. Btw, I’ve never called about a warranty, should I?

Alright, After reading reviews and deliberating, I will try to put some usable context to those who may be struggling with the product comparison to branded items. I have been an Oakley fan for many years. My last purchase was a set of $325 Juliets. For that money, the lenses were metalic, not polarized. The frames were heavy, as expected but descent. I would rate them a 3 star at the end of my ownership. The price did not even get the lenses polarized. Prior to that, is was some HD Oakleys I loved, light weight and clear view all around. I would have rated those a 4 star. I lost those sadly. Enough about that now... Now you know where I am coming from. I researched the different aspects until I was just overly educated. There seems to be no standard in the industry of film which they use on these sunglasses. Costas which I had been comparing heavily before my purchase, seem to market some higher level to the lenses but there isnt unless they truly use a glass which I could not find. These sunglasses do have some differences from the pictures. Mine came with white highlights instead of black. The one downfall to premium sunglasses is that they were just shipped in a non abrasive plastic bag. No case and no sock... lets face it, I didn't expect it at the price, but just what I am used to. They are super light weight and fit tight early on. They have loosened up a bit now. I have a small head, so be ware. The lens quality is fantastic!!! I would compare it to top line brands. The polarization and metallic finish are just as comparable too. Specific to these glasses, the clear frame is a little bit to get used to. It allows a bit more light than I would like and allows some internal reflection where I can see a silhouette of my eyes in the right light from the high and sides. That and the fit are the only two things I would put against it. That said, I know there were lots of comparisons to the Oakleys and Coastas and Raybans... I put them up there against them. The only thing I would say is missing is a full product line. I like the product and would buy 10x again. Oakleys, coastas and raybans scratch and don't hold up to what they state sets them apart from other glasses. It pains me to have things in my field of view. If these scratch the same as those which my experience and the experience of others say they do... why pay the money. These are just as good and they marketing has no scientific backing. They have a lot of celebs and wealthy people to push that agenda. Easily a 5 star if I could find a perfect fit and reduction of the reflection!

I will purchase these again. No need to shell out $200+ on sunglasses. These are light enough to be worn all day without discomfort. I'm not sure of the exact materials; however, the outer plastics are superior to a 'cheap' plastic feel. Also, the material touching your face and head has a nice rubber/felt feel to it. I've had no issues with the lens as some have stated (3 months in). I've worn these in a bromide/chlorine pool and the polarization works well. The lens covered my eyes nearly completely and I have a medium to fat head (male). I like the Amber more than the blue.

My 4th pair - not as durable or nice as previous ones. Especially the lenses - they feel like thin plastic & move around in the frame which makes distracting noises when putting them on or off, and cleaning. Disappointed.

I bought these as a replacement for a pair of Oakley Fuel Cells that I had for 6 years. My lenses were scratched on the Fuel Cells, and I didn't want to spend $60 to replace the polarized lenses. I like the Fuel Cells because I have a larger than average face and they don't squeeze my temples. Since this product has mostly good reviews, I took a chance. THESE ARE AWESOME. The polarized lenses are just as good as my Fuel Cells were and these glasses do not squeeze my head. One of the best Amazon purchases I have ever made.

06/13/2017 My husband is used to high end products because my parents own a sun glass shop in La Jolla Calif but he kept loosing them, they were hundreds of dollars, Oliver Peoples, Prada, Oakley, Maui Jim Etc - I hoped this product was going to be as beautiful, light weight , and will a soft amber lens and it was all that and MORE! I am going to buy him a few more pairs( just in case :) I am also going to buy the see through crystal pair with the mirror blue lens for myself to use when we kayak again. We went kayaking every other weekend since Memorial Day and the brown amber polarized lens were soft on the eyes to see through and he could see the fish under the water on the lake, he said they are so comfortable i forget i am wearing them. I agree I tried them on too, and they are very light weight and fit smoothly around the head. I recommend getting a Croce too in case you get this for someone who tends to loose things that Croce helps him NOT put them down but to let them fall to his chest.

Cheap quality. This was my second pair of these. Both broke at the bridge--snapped in two, right above the nose. Had this pair about 14 months. Prior pair a little longer. Loved first pair so much, I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Second pair, the blue accents started coming off within a few months. Then, as I said, the death knell was snapping in half. And no, I haven't been abusive with these glasses. (See pics; forgive the duct tape on the bridge of the first pair....)

Amazing glases for fishing , no color changing filters, good uv protection and well polarized for cutting glare on surface , they wont fall off your face , in fact they can be pretty tight and have a bit i paired em with soft glases arm sleeve's cord and they became the most confy and solit fitted glases i own , colours wise id like to see more option since i choses the one that bothers me the less instead of the one i like the most but since am going fishing and not doing a fashion show they are what i needed , price is good too

These arrived the next day after ordering. As others mentioned they do not come with a case, however none was promised, and shouldn't be expected for the price. I'm very pleased with the glasses so far. They are very light, but do not feel cheap or flimsy. The frame material is a translucent brown, very similar to the lenses, but with a frosted finish that resists fingerprints well. Lenses are a nice color, and when held at a particular angle, filtered out the screen from my computer monitor entirely. The hinges felt stiff and substantial. The glasses are super comfortable, thanks in large part to the lightness. They only contact my head at the nose and very end of the arms. I'll update if they turn out to be uncomfortable if worn for long periods, or not as durable as they appear. For now, I'm quite pleased. I have a very narrow face; these were still a touch big, but will work well. I don't think I've ever had a pair of sunglasses fit perfectly. I saw a number of reviews saying the film on the front of the lens rubbed off quite quickly. From what I saw that looks limited to the blue lenses, which look like the amber lenses with a blue coating. I'm guessing that the finish on the regular amber lenses will be much more durable.
