I am growing a peace lily in water, could I add just a little bit of this to the water to add nutrients for the plant?

The instructions are only given for soil. It is a slow release fertilizer which isn’t really appropriate for water.

I have coir blocks from gardener's supply that can be hydrated for growing medium. the directions say to add slow release fertilizer. would this be?

I feel anything fertilizer in tiny ball form are slow release

The amount to be used is by pot size. It ranges from 1 tsp for a 6” pot up to 1/3 cup for a 15 gallon pot.
