Resolved the clog in less than a minute.
Tried several options for my bathroom sink clog and it just got worse. This resolved the issue in less than a minute. Highly recommend. Try this first! Don’t waste time and money on options that don’t get the job done.

It being fully manual, it may struggle getting large blockages out
Got our drain unclogged without much issue, takes some finagling but it works. Feels a bit cheaply made but for the price and what it is, I'm happy with the purchase. The snake extends and retracts by hand, it is a little weird retracting it but it did go all the way back in for me eventually.

It rusts!
To be fair, the description makes it clear that you have to feed the cable out and reinsert in the housing it by hand. The crank simply spins the cable to help it dislodge the clog. I was surprised to discover that when I left the cable out to dry, it rusted.

Money saving, easy to use plumbing tool
Worked great! Removed the hair clog in my shower quickly and easily. Saved the cost of a plumber for a common hair clog.

Save Your Money
I expected the Drainsoon 25 ft drain auger to be a handy drain-cleaning tool, but instead I found it deeply disappointing. Within minutes of use, the cable stopped feeding or retracting properly—seemingly detached inside the housing—and fixing it meant stripping the drum apart and wrestling tangled wire for over an hour. Now it’s essentially unusable—I can’t rely on the handle, and storage has become a mess. The cable material feels flimsy, bending or twisting under minimal pressure, especially when trying to reach deeper clogs. It struggled to navigate tight bends or narrow openings, making it nearly impossible to push past typical p‑traps in kitchen or shower drains. Some users on forums confirmed that it often fails in real-world scenarios—twisting around itself rather than advancing, or refusing to go deeper than a few feet. The included gloves are one-size-fits-all and rarely fit smaller or larger hands comfortably. They slip off easily or feel awkward during use. Overall, while the price is tempting, the tool feels under-built and unreliable. If you're dealing with a simple clog, a cheap plastic tool might even outperform this auger. For anything serious—or to avoid wasting time—it’s better to skip this model and consider renting a better-quality snake or calling a plumber instead.

Great Value, Actually Works
After having a clogged kitchen sink for about a week and finding out our plumber wasn't going to be able to come by for at least another week, I decided to spend the money and try this solution. I was skeptical that this wouldn't work, considering the price was pretty low - $32 compared to the price of a plumber seemed too good to be true. I am SO GLAD I went for it. It came within 24 hours and was so easy to use. We had taken apart the drain under the kitchen sink so we knew the blockage was further down than the U pipe under the counter. It takes a little patience while "feeling" around as you feed the auger into the pipe. It is MUCH easier to use with two people, but you can definitely do it solo. Have a bucket ready underneath the drain because chances are you're going to pull out something that smells like the epitome of death. The mass of hair and trash inside the pipe that popped out had such a foul odor it gave us goosebumps. This tool is a life saver, and I can't believe a simpleton like me can purchase and successfully use a product like this. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great DIY solution for a simple problem, and the product is quite substantial in quality.

Unplugged the tub drain with ease
This is a functional product even though while winding it up the first time the plastic housing broke. It still works fine though

CLOG SLAYER
AMAZING. I'll start by saying Ive never snaked a drain in my life, abd for the sake of this review, I didn't even YouTube it. Using only the instructions this bad boy unclogged what was clearly a monstrous, tragically clogged tub, leading to the very important question: HOW AM I NOT BALD!?!? I bought this because a week ago I noticed my tub wasn't draining when I ran the tub tap. Drained fine with the shower running, but I figured I ought to do something before the problem got out of hand. I mean, I'm not a plumber but I sure didn't expect to pull out what I did. The snake didn't fit down the drain, but all I needed was a Phillips head screw driver, and I was able to easily use it through that little overflow part. One of the reviews on here (a lower one) mentioned that the handle on top doesn't feed the snake back in. That's correct. You hand feed the snake in and out. When you feed in, once you feel resistence you turn the crank handle to get the little springy to tangle nicely in the clog-monster, thus rendering all hairball of doom helpless. The whole process, from unboxing to scrubbing my tub with the strongest disinfectant I could find, took 15 minutes. Please note five of those minutes was finding a exacto knife to cut the tape on the box. Honestly, this little doodad deserves 8 stars for what I made it touch. Also, definitely highly recommend wearing the included rubber gloves right from the start. The snake has some grease on it- I'm assuming for obvious friction reasons. Plus, if your clog is anything like mine was, you won't want any bare skin going near it!

Worst thing I've bought by far
Hard to use and doesn't work. Didn't get anything out of the drain and it bent 90° now it's unusable since is made of metal I can't intend it. Waste of money
