The 3M Rugged Comfort 6500 Series Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator is designed to help promote comfort, durability, and stability with a firm, lightly textured silicone faceseal and strong body construction.

Review: Very helpful with epoxy paint - I'm refinishing a bath tub and refinishing with epoxy paint, the vapors of which can be extremely hazardous. Purchased the mask to use with organic vapors filters. I never smelled anything at all until I took the mask off. It is very effective! The headband loop makes it easy to put on and the quick release latch at the back of the neck makes it easy to get off. With the 3M option of different types of filters for various materials like dust, drywall dust, and other irritants to the lungs and nose, this mask is reusable for a lifetime. Well worth the low cost for this product. I recommend with no reservations at all.

Also, this needs to fit tightly against your face, but the adjustment on the straps make that straightforward. My main reason for preferring this respirator is the exhalation valve, which directs my breath away from my glasses. Along with the face seal material, that makes for a comfortable respirator. For the price, it is hard to beat.

A: 3M Rugged comfort half facepiece respirator: The size is adjustable and can fit a large variety of head sizes. It works for both me and my 9 yr old daughter

**Q: How does the 6500 compare to the higher priced 7500? i am an emt concerned with wight & comfort, and patients being able to hear me talk.**
A: Very similar.  The main difference is the 7500 series all silicone.  Voice may be muffled, just have to speak up.  Call the 3M Techline at 800-243-4630 for any assistance.  Thank you.

**Q: Does this work as an N95?**
A: This mask has different cartridges some for toxic gases and I think this is more than enough and surpasses what the n95 can do it is not disposable the mask is rubber with no requirement for fitting has check valves for positive breathing and needs to be cleaned .

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High quality mask

Compared to cheaper masks, this really fits my face well and I don't detect any leaking around the edges. The cool flow valve really cuts down on the effort to breath and seems to keep the moisture under control. Strap system seems weird at first, but works quite well. I am wearing this under a ESAB Sentinel welding hood and although is is snug inside, I can lower the hood all the way and breath just fine. Doesn't block my vision at all. The nose piece does pushup my glasses a bit, but workable. A very worthwhile investment in my health. Highly recommended.
