CamelBak Long Neck Hydration Reservoir, 3L / 100oz Water Bladder Compatible with Legacy Hydration Carriers

I mainly bought this for an airsoft battle in the next couple of days. It arrived just the day before and it performed splendidly. It's able to hold a ton of water and is able to keep it cool even on hot days. It's skin is also extremely tough that it's able to withstand mulitple BB shots and still not leak. I recommend you first wash the bag before use thou and when in use to first take a couple of mouthfuls and spit it out because the water in the tube is warm and probably dirty.

Great fitting replacement.

I used this with my hike through Yosemite Valley. It did well. It held a lot of water. 3 liters is a good amount of water. Unfortunately for me, it added so much weight to my pack!!! I would probably only fill half of that and just pump water from a water source. But, getting back to the product. It did very well. Easy to fill. Although I don't like the opening to pour water. I think what would be a great design is for the opening to extend from the actual bag. Sort of like the old water bottles. Then you can fill it all the way. Right now, you can only get close to the opening without spilling. Even though the bag didn't leak, I feel that there should be some sort of rubber seal that can create a tight seal because the current cover is plastic and it screws onto plastic threads. Plastic on plastic always has the potential to loosen up. Especially in a pack. I also like that the product comes with a special plug that you can use to put on at the bottom. I did that so that I can fill it up without having to carry the reservoir. Overall, it's a nice bottle. Fits in my pack nicely.

I have an old first generation Camelbak H.A.W.G. that I dearly love, having taken it all over the world with me. The insulated bladder sleeve and hose keeps water cold all day, even during extreme hot weather conditions. After 15 years of continuous and its share of hard use, the 100 oz bladder that came with the pack developed a leak around the filler cap, rendering it useless. I ordered the 100oz/3.0L MG Long Neck Reservoir to replace my original bladder. Right out of the package, I found the replacement bladder fit perfectly and matched the original bladder's black color scheme and insulated hose. Had this been the extent of the bladder's features, I would have been eminently satisfied with my purchase, but the new bladder has additional features that make it better than the original. Camelbak had not yet developed the Hydrolink system for the first generation bladders, I purchased the new components when they became available, but the new one already came equipped with them and for less money than the same capacity bladder and Hydrolink cost separately. I particularly like the Hydrolink that lets you remove the hose from the bladder for easy cleaning and drying - much better than the original model. As a great bonus, the package includes a Hydrolink Port Plug that lets you cap off the bladder without the hose - or clip it on your pack to hold your bite valve while filling the bladder from a filter. This is a great idea - it keeps your bite valve clipped to your pack so it can't be misplaced or contaminated during fills. If the user's pack will accommodate the bladder's dimensions, I recommend the Camelbak 100oz/3.0L MG Long Neck Reservoir to anyone requiring a high quality, high capacity bladder system for their hydration needs - this is a great buy.

I bought an off-brand set of hydration bags off of Amazon that had decent reviews at a third the price of this bag. I should've been more skeptical. After trying multiple times to use them; with the result of sucking far more air each time than water, I gave up and purchased this CamelBak bag. The difference is amazing. No air in my line at all. No leakage from the mouthpiece. This bag works as expected and i will not buy a cheap hydration bag ever again.

I recieved this item the other day and figured i'd test it out. first off, right out of the box, the seller has a note apologizing for what might've been the wrong item. yes it was wrong...it was better than what i ordered. the one i recieved had a mouth piece cover which the picture didnt have. the on and off valve is great and the bladder itself feels tough as nails. im not going out to test how tough by slamming it on the ground per say but you can tell. definitely a tougher bladder than my original camelback bladder that i broke and threw out after so many years and im happy with this replacement. the water stays cold in my pack ALL DAY long. so kudos and this is def a must get item.

This is an exact fit for the now prolific, USMC ILBE backpacks on E-BAY and elsewhere. If you are looking for a never say die backpack or "bug out bag" you can't go wrong with ILBE and this water bladder, is an exact fit for the insulated ILBE water bladder carrier. You may, depending on water in your area, want to research a water filter to add to this, but if you are filtering water going into the carrier, it may not be necessary. These are well made, strong rubberized plastic and should last a while.

great replacement for the old style camelbak/hydration carriers. need more color options though.

I've had my Camelbak since 2002 and I just love the fact that this company still supports such an old product with spare parts. My CamelBak and I can now enjoy many more adventures without running out of water.
