Fabulous Piece of Software
This is one fabulous piece of software. The graphics are superb and the realism is astonishing. The changing light of dawn and dusk and the sun and shadow that you experience in the cab are amazing. You will drive in sunlight, darkness, and rain (with windshield wipers). Traffic realistically changes so as to be sparse during deep night hours, heavy during drive time, and believable during the day on the road. Road surfaces are of many varieties; concrete, asphalt, etc. and in a few cases even dirt. You get sleepy and have to stop to rest; you get fined for speeding (and of course running into things). You get full light control, such as low beams, high beams, and dashboard lighting. You'll find this gives you a satisfying, full experience of driving throughout Europe and the UK, Please understand that to fully enjoy it you need a pretty husky computer. With less that the recommended configuration (and then some) you can still have fun, but it won't be the same as having adequate horsepower. Also, a driving wheel is necessary to truly complete the picture. Anyway, I certainly recommend this product. It's a lot more engrossing than a flight sim.

GOBBELDY GOOK..! =///=====> Does work on My old 32 bit computer.!
I hooked up My old 32 bit computer and it does fine, the following rest of the review concerns My newer 64 bit computer. I tried this on My Windows seven Home Premium which is 64 bit and even reads as Windows 7 compatible on the package as for Windows XP/Vista/7. I can't read a word to change any settings and the face You pick as Your own is barely is a useless mess of the "Employable drivers from German Truck Simulator which I keep getting stuck at the wheel till My feet swell, now that's a great game and I've used it on both 32 and 64 bit systems. Euro Truck Simulator 2 No Thank You. Yup.! But if I decide to play it I can pull all the wires from this computer and switch it for My old Dell. :-}

Go play & enjoy this wonderful simulation - U can't beat the price 4 what U get
I've had this simulator game for almost a week and just can't stop playing it. One thing for sure it is a looooong game, could take hundreds of hours before you max out on hired drivers and garages. I only have a mouse & keyboard set-up, while it's playable from a driving standpoint it's extremely difficult to be "under control" like a wheel or joystick would give you. But, you can set your steering sensitivity which is a big plus. The graphics are top notch, the game play is repetitive because all that you basically do is drive but the variety of the roads, their speed limits, traffic, day and night action, rural and city / town roads, hiring your business drivers (and firing them if need be), garage purchasing and upgrading, truck purchasing (of MANY types), maintenance and upgrading is just some aspects of what you can expect. Did I mention crashes and tickets from the law?? lol My game cd didn't come with a manual but it is online in .pdf. Also there are good discussion forums online and plenty of mods too!! I will enjoy this game for a long time, I hope that you do too ;)

NOT WHAT I ORDERED!!!
What I ordered, what is pictured, is the American version on a PC DVD. What I got was the Nordic version on a PC CD. So angry...

Great game when updated
The game on my disc was version 1.0.5 which was just ok. I played it for a few days to get familiar with it and then I updated it (free updates are provided online) to 1.4.12. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Smoother graphics, lot more realism, and a lot more entertainment. Having lived and driven in Europe, I enjoy the small accurate details such as license plates that match the country and city where you are driving, accurate road signs and markings, and the sounds made by the various trucks. I suggest using a steering wheel or at least a quality joystick and using the automatic transmission option (until you get the hang of the game). BTW, I got a 350 Euro speeding ticket in Zurich so watch out for the radar warning signs.I am 40 something and enjoy sims like this one, FSX, and X-plane. Now that I have started playing with trucks my flight sims will get a rest for a few weeks. Enjoy and don't forget to update the game for a great experience.
