Classic album, happy to add it to my vinyl collection.

I love this cd and this Artist and I have loved listening to voice since the 80's

Classic album by Janet. 2nd cd has some great songs like 70s Love Groove, And On And On and a song that Randy did on the Victory album by The Jacksons, One More Chance.

I don't know why it took me so long to actually buy this album but I finally did and I see why this is her biggest selling album of her career. Janet is so diverse when it comes to putting together albums. On every album, she had a different concept of what she was trying to do. This album is now one of my favorite albums. You have songs like "That's The Way Love Goes" which gives you that smooth R&B vibe. Makes you just want to sit back and chill and listen to the music just like in the music video for this song. My favorite songs and the standout tracks on this album are "That's The Way Love Goes","You Want This", "If", definitely "This Time"; I was very impressed by the composition and production on this song, the violins,guitars,and how everything was arranged is amazing. Definitely one of Janet's best songs she's done. Also "Funky Big Band","New Agenda","Where Are You Now", and "Whoops Now" which is a bonus track on this album so you won't see it on the back of the album cover. I would definitely recommend this album to anyone especially if you're a Janet fan. This is a must have in your collection of classic albums because this definitely is another classic album by Miss Janet. They don't make albums like anymore which is very sad. I hope I helped someone in making the decision to purchase this album because you definitely should.

The Jackson family has put out an impressive body of work, over the last three (plus) decades. As we know, Michael Jackson was definitely not the only Jackson sibling with star power. Janet definitely had and has the chops to carry an album, on her own, by the power of her great voice, wonderful song and lyric and wild dance moves. JANET, her 1993 release, came out following RHYTHM NATION, released just three years before. The sound of this album was the birth of a new, more sexy, more outspoken Janet. RHYTHM NATION already demonstrated her strong ability to lead audiences down the path of social justice, inequalities and cool, romantic ballads. JANET is raw, we hear her purr over hot dance mixes ("If" with sample from The Supremes, "Throb," "Satisfaction" with sample from Rolling Stones, to name a few), beautiful ballads ("Again," "Where Are You Now," "The Body That Loves You," "Any time, Any Place"). This is definitely a more mature Janet who knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to lay it on the line. One of my personal favorites on this album is "This Time," a great breakup song, with opera diva Kathleen Battle, singing a wonderful hook. Totally a winner.

Janet con quest' album diventa una superstar alla stregua del fratello Michael .In USA è già un personaggio di rilievo e conquista il mondo. La voce è sempre esile ma la formula pop- dance funziona. Il suono rispetto a RHYTHM NATION E' meno macchinoso. Alterna brani dance a lenti dolcissimi senza rinunciare agli interludio tra un pezzo e l'altro dove in 20-25 secondi parla di amore,sesso,e altri temi. Il sociale è meno presente rispetto al precedente lavoro ma la sicurezza di sé stessa è allo zenith .Janet si mostra in quasi tutti i video in forma perfetta e balla disinvoltamente. È stato il suo album di maggior successo .I miei brani preferiti sono ovvio THATS THE WAY LOVE GOES e il lento AGAIN che ebbe una candidatura all' Oscar .In quel periodo comincio anche a fare cinema. Per me album che consumai letteralmente ,( avevo la musicassetta) Gli interludi li leggevo ma sinceramente x me appesantivano solo il prodotto. Ne avrei messi solo 2 o 3. Ma questa e' una caratteristica degli album di Janet
