Q: Can you break the capsule open and put the contents in water if you have difficulty swallowing?

It is not a capsule but instead it is a small tablet. So I would think that you could easily crush it (I use to have to crush medicines or open capsules myself awhile ago).

Magnesium stearate is a very effective lubricant commonly used in tablet applications. We derive our magnesium stearate from natural palm oil.

Q: For proper absorption of iodine, selenium is a must. does this product have selenium?

It has only trace amounts. Selenium is a soil connected mineral I think. Researched 'long ago' and learned that 1 Brazil nut a day I guess of a decent size, or 1-3 a day supplies the selenium we need. Brazil nuts from other locations evidently do not have selenium in the soil in which they are grown. One seller at least you could buy Brazil nuts from on amazon sources theirs from Bolivia.

Q: What is the percentage of kelp verses potassium iodide per tablet?

The label says 225 mcg and percentage is 150% per serving which is one tablet.
