My 4 year old is built tall and sturdy and we've gone from buying the character Hanes type from size 6 to then size 8 and they were falling apart so quickly. We then went to Carson's to get some other options and we found some Calvin Klein ones that were at least larger and seemed like the material and waistband were better, although I was a little put off by the boyshort style. Quickly, within a few washes, they shrank significantly and soon she was complaining of them riding into her. Then I start to wonder, how are there not better underwear options for little girls? There's no way this is all that's available. I am SO glad I found these. Just got them today, had her try them on and so far, they seem like a great improvement, I'll update once it's washed and we see how they hold up. I REALLY prefer the coverage for her and the fit, this is how they SHOULD be for little girls. I don't think any little girl should be wearing hiphuggers or bikini style and it's disappointing that that's what you find when going to these department stores. These cover her on the back, the leg openings aren't tight, and the waist sits under her belly button and the waistband is cloth-covered and doesn't cut into the skin at all.
