Barbie Inspiring Women Rosa Parks Doll

So happy with this item. I ordered her from a US seller from Amazon and she arrived in just 11 days! The doll is beautiful. I am in awe of her lovely outfit which is reminiscent of the 60's Barbie I grew up with. Its well made, stylist and totally wearable. She has a pale green floral dress with a grey "woolen" coat, little white silk gloves all topped by a neat black pill box hat. Her specs are really cute and she has a super pretty little face. All in all she is a lovely doll and would be a pride of place in a collection- Fully recommended.

Great to see a range of inspiring women. I bought this for my granddaughter for Black History Month. She loves the story of Rosa Parks. She’s black and has had a few racist comments directed at her, so it’s really important that she learns the stories of those who have fought foe equality and human rights.This product could be improved by including a little book/ pamphlet telling the story of the inspiring woman.The doll and her clothes are lovely.

Rosa Parks is one of the best figures produced by Barbie as part of their ‘inspiring women’ series. The figure is well made and the clothing is pretty close to that pictured on the site, which isn’t always the case; the pillbox hat is plastic and the only part of the outfit that isn’t quite as good as shown, but still acceptable.I didn’t know much of the Rosa Parks story until it was featured in an episode of Dr Who, but that and this figure inspired me to find out more, and I am glad that I did. She was a very brave lady, prepared to stand up for herself at a time when she was expected to comply and say nothing. I have her on prominent display as a reminder that a small protest can become part of something much bigger.

The doll looks really good: the detail is amazing, the clothes sawn perfectly (no random threads sticking out). A pity that the hat is plastic, but it still looks good (I’m being a bit picky here ;) ). I took one star off because there is a defect on the glasses - scratches on the frame. Her face is so beautiful & everything else is so well made, but the scratches on the glasses bother me a lot because they’re so visible, so I might be sending her back. And then most likely I’ll order another one ;) The packaging was ok - scratches on the box, probably made during shopping, so that’s sth you could expect.
